28 Apr 2008 : Another happening

This morning, when PL dropped little CY off at baby sitter's place, the baby sitter broke a news to her - "Uncle's time is approaching.."

It was such a sad moment.

At noon, PL received a call from her house phone. "Uncle has left..." After discussed with CC, both decided to take leaves on 30th Apr & 2nd May while PL took one more day off tomorrow to take care of little CY.

Uncle had been going for frequent medical check up and screening but we did not know that he was diagnosed with cancer till end of last year. If not mistaken, it was pancreatic cancer that he could not consume normal solid food since last month. He was kind of giving up after a tube was inserted through his nose to allow the nutrient in liquid form flow into his body. He loved to eat delicious food and used to bring his family to good place for meals. Losing the opportunities to taste and swallow as usual, was indeed torturing him.

Rest in Peace, Uncle !

24 Apr 2008 : Car issues

This morning, the car was broken down. No matter how many times PL turned the key, the engine was dead. Luckily, she spotted neighbours just came back from work that she asked them for help. The jump start did help to start back the engine and PL drove to company without hesitation.

Oh gosh.. same thing happened in the evening when PL tried to leave early for the work shop. A few colleagues helped to push the car and tried to jump start. But, this time, there was no luck. Thus, PL seeked help from security to call foreman. The jump start was done by using a much bigger jumper cable and it worked ! The foreman suggested to change the battery. PL paid him RM10 for coffee before heading back home.

Along the way, the traffic was congested. PL's ex-boss called, followed by her ex-collegues. The journey was not so bored then. And some updates actually enlightened the day.

At 7.10pm, PL reached block A with CC & little CY waiting at the lobby. We went to our regular work shop and had dinner opposite the workshop. The battery was changed, costed RM200.

16 April 2008 : Finally...

Finally, PL made up her mind !
What a relief....

She was jumping around in the office and some might wonder what happened to her...especially she grinned to herself....

13 Apr 2008 : Quick trip

We had a quick trip to KL to attend an appointment last afternoon.
We stopped by at tgk for lunch before driving up to our destination. It was raining heavily along the highway.
Yesterday, PL resumed back her yoga class after skipping it for 2 weeks since we were away from JB. This was the first time she attended the class in the instructor's newly rented yoga room. We needed to climb more stairs because the yoga room was located at 3rd floor.
The yoga room was found to be smaller, perhaps due to the room was not a square. And, the orientation of the large mirror (made up of 7 large pieces) changed from previously right to left (from the view upon entry from the door). However, the kitchen space was large and the corridor leading to rest room was long.

08 Apr 2008 : A day with little CY

Today, PL was not working due to Sultan Johor's birthday.
Morning
Breakfast - Steamed sweet potato bun (made by mom)
Shopping - Tesco
Nap - Little CY dozed off in the car and woke up from the bed while PL was preparing ingredients for lunch
Shopping - Giant & JJ (Did not purchase anything in Giant due to the long queue)
Afternoon
Lunch - PL cooked white rice with 2 dishes
Barney - Little CY watched his DVD of his favourite character
Nap - PL took nap at 2 pm & little CY took his at 3 pm.
Others - Reading for PL & playing for CY
Evening
Dinner - Little CY took his earlier. PL cooked the beef after CC was back from work.
Family night - 3 of us !

We were back.
The 4 D/ 3N trip was so short for us to spend time with friends and family.

PL stayed up late till 11.45 pm to chat with YCY & mom.

04 Apr 2008 : Qing Ming

This year, we went to the temple for dad and Hong. We still could not get rid of the feeling of loss. It has been difficult for PL's family.
After having dinner with Carolyn in Dragon-I, the fashion show was just about to start. We watched for a while before waving goodbye to Carolyn. Again, Little CY dozed off on our way back.

03 Apr 2008 : Yummy...

The flight was on time. Little CY explored the airport and tired out himself. As per in Air Asia's Travel 3Sixty, he slept through the plane after that and mommy got the chance to enjoy the Pak Nasser's Nasi Lemak in peace. Ha... And, the plane touched down with no bumping that little CY only woke up when CC carried him.

Mom was waiting eagerly at home. Little CY stopped himself in front of the shophouse. But he marched in when he heard his grandma's voice calling him. Again, we were greeted with mom's delicious cooking. This time, what lied on the table was Penang Laksa ! She also bought PL's favourite fried prawn cake and lo bak. And, we also found yam rice in the rice cooker. The aroma was making us hungry.

We were lucky to have a car borrowed that PL got to meet up with her co-worker from PJ. Although it was not planned, it was great to meet up the nice lady. After 30 min inside PL's ex-plant, PL hopped into the car with CC & little CY waiting inside. We did make a detour to Queensbay mall, buying little CY a new pair of shoes.
