31 Mac 2008 : Another last day of the month

It was the last day of the month again.

Time for PL to clear the outstanding items.
And, she found that she has less and less time to catch up her ownself.

Anyhow, we all slept pretty early last night after the weekend trip back to tgk. It was supposed to be ancestral worship (Qīngmíng) but some of us stayed back - Little CY was too small to go to the grave yard, little CK was only a 2 month old & XR was pregnant. Ancestrial worship is to seek to honor the deeds and memories of the deceased - an extension of filial piety of the ancestor. If not mistaken, it was part of Confucius' teaching.

We would be going back to Pg for Qīngmíng 清明too. It would be Hong's 1st year. *sob*

27 Mac 2008 : Brighter

PL found that her new cubicle was brighter, mainly because the desk was located just right underneath the light. And, many people felt that it was bigger but PL had in fact cleared many files during the move. She has seen some other SHOs having a much bigger space just to kept all those records.

Today, we had a farewell dinner for K & S who were leaving tomorrow at Todak. PL lost her way again and was directed to the correct direction by CC through phone. She finally arrived at 7.10pm to squeeze into the dining table, seated by 12 co-workers. Again, we had 13 on a table. Coincidence without plan..

Little CY kept on calling "ma ma" from time to time since 7.30pm till he went to bed at 9.00pm. He suddenly sat up from the bed when he heard PL was back.

24 Mac 2008 : Move

Ha... PL officially moved to new cubicle.
The orientation was different with the entrance at the left corner, instead of right corner.
It did create some havoc at this sensitive moment, to those not aware of PL's new seating when they found the empty cubicle !

This year, there would be many shifting, moving & changing.

20 Mac 2008 : A day without CY

Today, it was a public holiday that PL did not need to work.
PL dropped off CY as usual and started the day on her own :
1. Laundered CY's clothes
2. Shopping at Tesco & Giant Plentong for grocery/toiletries & mostly CY's necessities
3. Withdraw $$$
4. Applied for MPH kidz club membership
5. Browsing books in MPH
6. Laundered CY's newly bought pyjamas and singlet sets
7. Cook lunch
8. Printed YCY & CL's ROM photos & placed into the album for mom
9. Had lunch
10. Cash in
11. Shopping at JJ for grocery
12. Grabbed 3-in-1 socks (again, for CY) in Sox World
13. Purchased 1 box of associated cakes and 1 box of Madeleines in Lavender
14. Took shower

17 Mac 2008 : ROM

Yeow & CL was stepping into a new stage of life. The registrar, a Penangite who solemnized their marriage was humorous. The ROM was full of laughters, contained in the small room, occupied by our relatives and a few friends. If it was in an open hall, our non-stop laughters would stir up the curiousity of those outside the window. Even PL, as one of the witnesses could not stop grinning, smiling & giggling in front of the Registrar. After all of us signed off the 3 copies, he shook hand with CL, followed by Yeow. Holding Yeow's hand, he paused and said in a playful or "pitiful" tone, "Welcome to the marriage club !"
We then burst into laughters again.
If not the Registrar, we would not know the marriage law.

09 Mac 2008 : A visit

They arrived yesterday afternoon that we went to AH for Chen to obtain a more precise measurement. Little CY drained off his energy by walking up and down the stairs and running around the house. He was sound asleep on his car seat when we were about to leave for dinner in Sodam. He woke up on time and did fuss a bit during the meal.
We slept late with PL reading those home magazines while CC surfing for the election results.

09 Mac 2008
This morning, we had dim sum for breakfast. After bathing little CY, we departed to Singapore at around 9am to help Xiao Ru moved her staffs from her rented room. It was a short trip that took 2 hours.
Lunch was at 圆缘园, a vegetarian restaurant. It was not bad to have a change after eating too much meat.

They left at around 3pm.

09 Mac 2008 : New beginning

Yesterday, it marked the changes in Penang, as well as another 3 states in Malaysia. The opposition won !!!
A change could be worse or better, but at least there was a hope for better !!!
