26 Feb 2008 : Extremely busy

PL was extremely busy. The desk was piled up with files, report and paper again after doing a cleanup yesterday.
Her head was heavy. She seemed like catching cold soon with red eyes and running nose. At 6.45pm, she left the things behind and headed home.

24 Feb 2008 : Belated Birthday celebration

A few co-workers arranged a birthday celebration with PL in the usual tech bay. Those that went to buy a card did not know how to read Mandrin that the card was kind of not suitable. Anyhow, it was a pleasant celebration.
PL opened the gift on her way back. It was a lovely table lamp !

16 Feb 2008 : Kukup & Tanjung Piai

We had a great day in Kukup & Tanjung Piai, Pontian. We arrived at Kukup at noon that we parked our car at "dong shan" restaurant and had lunch. The fish & crabs were so fresh. After the lunch, we visited the fishing villages at the back of the restaurant. We did not have any interest to go for a boat ride.

After spending an hour in Kukup, we made our way to Tanjung Piai, the 'Southernmost Tip of Mainland Asia' which located in the district of Serkat. When we were along the highway, PL received 2 sms from Maxis. 1st message : "Have a wonderful time in Indonesia, If you need help, do not worry. You can always call the MalaysianEmbassy at +62215224947", followed by "Roam with Telkomsel, who is a member of Bridge Mobile Alliance and enjoy its privileges. Maxis preferred partner for voice, GPRS and roaming services. " orh.. so, we were in Indonesia virtually, but in Malaysia physically.
Anyhow, the trip was recommended for a weekend family outing.

13 Feb 2008 : Lilja

On the day before Valentine's, PL received a surprised email in her mailbox. It was from her long lost Icelandic pen pal. She has been trying to reach Lilja but failed to locate her. Thanks to the internet world that Lilja finally found PL on google.

They knew each other in 1983 and started to write to each other in postal mail. It could say that they grew up together in their teenage life. There was so much to catch up after years.

13 Feb 2008 : Early Valentine's

It was kind of difficult to have dinner without running about to chase after the little CY or feeding him.
When we were at the baby sitter's place, he just woke up from his nap. We then went to dinner on our own since auntie would feed and shower him.
CC suggested to check out the Sodam Korean restaurant at Permas mall, as an early celebration of Valentine's.

The tradition was not changed. We visited uncle at Segamat on the 1st day of CNY. The lunch was still hefty even the dishes were reduced since we had less people.

06 Feb 2008 : Reunion Lunch

We went back one day earlier that we did not need to rush for the lunch as previous years. The lunch was too much to fill in all the stomach that we did leave some for dinner as well.

02 Feb 2008 : A day trip to Singapore

We made a trip to Singapore on a Saturday morning. We dropped the car off at a car park near to the custom and took a taxi all the way to our destination.Afternoon
At noon, we visited Uncle Chee & Auntie Chris at their home. We spent the day there till dinner time. We should go off to other places after the lunch but it was kind of rushed. And, we did not have any idea where to go. For next trip, we should have a better planning. (PL even forgot little CY's milk bottle but she brought the hot water & milk powder !)

Evening PL managed to snap a few night scene of the riverside while waiting for the dinner to be served. The dinner at Sun with Moon in Central was not bad. CC ordered the signature dishes, kamameshi, which is traditional steamed seasoned rice pot. There was a little hourglass on top to indicate when we should lift off the wooden lid to start enjoying the steaming rice with beef. CY finished off 1/3 of the unagi don and some vegetable/tofu in the sukiyaki. PL shared the Unagi Don with little CY. After we filled up our stomach, Christopher dropped us off at the Bugis taxi station.

By the time we arrived at home, it was 10pm with little CY dozed off since we were in the taxi.
