31 Dec 2007 : Grammar mistakes

Reading some of the old blogs, I noticed that there were grammar mistakes.

30 Dec 2007 : YB

PL sms slyn to meet up. It was surprised that she told PL they were meeting up YB for dinner in the evening.

YB had been hibernating in JB for quite some time without any of us knowing that. He would be flying to Srw on 8th Jan 2008 that he decided to meet up ! After humilating him for neglecting us, 3 of us did have a good chat catching up. The pizza was left to cold with us talking non stop and saliva sprinkled onto our plate. Furthermore, CC & Siong left isolated, chewing their pizza. It was at least 5 years before we met up. We nearly met last 3 years but CC was trapped in the traffic that it was too late to rush to Pelangi mall.

He stated that he would consider settling down in Cambodia after completing his studies at a School of Mission in South Carolina. (If we got it right, it was the "Columbia International University)

26 Dec 2007 : Our Penang trip

We spent 6 days and 5 nights in Penang. (20-25 Dec 2007) Mom was particularly happy especially little CY was around. Since we drove up North, we did not have transportation issue to bring mom around or visiting those places that long forgotten whenever we went back to Penang such as Gurney Drive and Botanical Garden.

The stopover in Tangkak reduced the tireness and we had a good rest before going on the road again.

25 Dec 2007 : Merry Christmas !!!!!

It was a Christmas ! But we did not celebrate it, as usual. Mom missed Hong particularly on Christmas Eve. She said : Every Christmas eve, Hong would go out and celebrate crazily with Felix.
During this trip back, we found out that his dragon boat friends set up a team, Yahoo dragon boat team (named after his shop & the team they dismissed years back to join Pacific West) to ride for him, taking part in 12 man crew open at penang pesta race. They won the 3rd place. They must have missing him so much. Sad ! Speechless ! But we realy appreciated what they did.

There was a A4 sticker page slotted in between the Star Two last week. The individual happy day stickers on the page were so cute that PL was so reluctant to give it away. Another unusual DiGi advertisement that caught our eyes.

Nowadays, we were invited by our neighbours for certain celebration due to little CY.

This morning, PL skipped her Yoga class since she was too exhausted.

We brought little CY down for the showcase that held for these 2 days. Luckily, the rain stopped in the afternoon that the clown and the blow up ship were back at the pool side.

This event attracted the existing residents more than the future residents.

08 Dec 2007 : Back home

It was always great to get home.

When the door opened, PL was greeted by "mama, mama, mama,,,,,,"....
And little CY seemed like elephant glue that he would cry out if PL went missing from his sight..

PL finally got the chance to take the shower after unpacking the luggage.

There were :
1. 2 new pieces of blouses & 1 pair of pants (PL)
2. Drawing board with magnetic pen (came together with a hard book) (CY)
3. Christmas scarf (CY)
4. 2 sets of tissue box covers (Bb sitter)
5. Christmas clips (colleagues)
6. SpongeBob SquarePants key chain (CY) - its hands & legs move if the string was pulled.
7. .......

Little CY showed interest on the drawing board with magnetic pen. After seeing how PL drew on the board, hee held the pen & "drew" on the board too.

08 Dec 2007 : On the way back

PL & Yeow skipped their breakfast and headed to Starhill for Jogoya buffet lunch. We lazed around the gallery since we were 15 minutes earlier.The buffet was not worth for the money if you have a small stomach and dislike raw seafood. We walked down to the basement after the lunch (or rather brunch?). The restaurants were unique. And, the rest room was so cosy and homely. In fact, there were 2 workers stationed in the rest room to turn the wheels to pump up the water for hand washing. Yeow said no one knew how to wash their hand last time without any worker standby in the rest rooms.

At 2 pm, Yeow dropped off PL at KL sentral. During check in, there was no information on delay. PL only found out the one hour delay in KLIA.

Finally, PL was home before little CY dozed off.

07 Dec 2007 : 5th day in KL

At last, we completed our course. PL placed the 4 tarts in front of her desk just right before the examination began. They disappeared into her stomach once she finished the paper.

After the buffet lunch, blip headed to her sister's place while PL was on her way to Berjaya Times Square. Yeow could only pick her up in the late evening. However, PL had a great time shopping in the mall. The only shortcoming was the heavy notebook.

It was always nice to spend time with family. We also found that one moth on the wall accompanying us when we were in Yeow's place.

06 Dec 2007 : 4th day in KL

The day was cold with rain pouring in the morning. Even there was no rain for the last few days, it was cold in the hotel and our training room. And, the humidity was low in the rooms.

We decided not to go anywhere since we were going to have our exam tomorrow. We did spend about 30 minutes with the tutors and their colleagues in Olive Clove. We left immediately for our dinner after emptying our Carlsberg.

We had our dinner at Aryan in the Weld. If we had less during our lunch & break, we would have enjoyed the Indian cuisine better. The waiter was friendly and made us laugh with his jokes / gestures.

Yeow came to pick up PL's luggage so that she did not need to carry her luggage around tomorrow after check out. Still, she left with her notebook and training material that to be used for the last day.

At 9.30pm, we had a small group discussion with Anuar at the lobby. He skipped one day class because he lost his 6th baby.

05 Dec 2007 : 3rd day in KL

Again, we made our trip to Bukit Bintang. It was raining that we had to cancel our initial plan of walking over but took a taxi. We visited Lot 10 and Pavilion.

Tiff was in town as well. We had dinner together in Pavilion food court. PL's instinct was correct - Tiff was pregnant !

04 Dec 2007 : 2nd day in KL

Perhaps, with experience, the training was not as difficult as previous. During EMS lead auditor training, PL was having difficulties that she needed to spend more time on the subject. For this OHSAS lead auditor training, most of the training contents were refresher since most of the subjects were applied since day one.This evening, we decided to make a trip to Petaling Street in the monorail for the ikan panggang. The stall was hiding behind the longan stall at the junction. We ordered the sotong & lala panggang. PL's stomach was so full that there was no compartment left for the popular longan. During the trip, PL noticed that florist was found along the street. It was a new sight. More flowers were demanded nowadays ?

Bukit Bintang in the evening was so beautiful with the Christmas lighting. Sungai Weng was not crowded. The reason could be it was week day or the crowd has been shifted to Mid Valley and other shopping malls. We were kind of exhausted that we called off the day earlier at 9.30pm and headed back to hotel.

Though, PL read her favourite story series from the internet till midnight. It was great that complimentary wireless broadband access was enjoyed as a hotel guest. MS called PL for a long chat since they were not be able to meet up. MS was now carrying her 2nd baby. Hmmm... another baby on his/her way...

03 Dec 2007 : 1st day...

The training was started with a pleasant environment. As usual, the class was small, with 5 trainees. There were morning tea break, lunch and afternoon tea break. Thus, PL expected her weight to be 1 kg more after completing the training. After a long day, the training was ended at 5pm plus.

Without hesitation, PL took a quick shower and went to klcc with blip. We found our way there by strolling down the street. It only took 15-20 minutes walk.

02 Dec 2007 : JHR-KUL

PL was on a trip to KL to attend 5-day OHSAS lead auditor course.

It was another long trip with half the heart in JB. Little CY waved good bye on his daddy's arm while PL got into the taxi.

Attended Tham's wedding luncheon in Peking Restaurant at Taman Molek.

30 Nov 2007 : Appreciation dinner in Yew's cafe

We finally gathered the team to have our appreciation dinner. Although some were not able to turn up, we had 29 persons enjoying the buffet dinner, joking, chatting, crazying.....

It was always great to have such a team working together.

29 Nov 2007 : Old old time..

Last week, PL came across a message in her friendster...

Ha.. to her surprise, it was from her ex-classmate in primary school. It was ages that they never contacted each other. She still remembered the identical twins. Although they were so much alike, we could differenciate them by their slight difference. We had good time crazying in the classroom with other classmates...and happy hours during the break.

Another surprise, he was now a tauke for a factory in China with offices located in most of the Southest Asia countries....And his twin brother opened an academy school.

有眼不识泰山，还说他傻傻的。

25 Nov 2007 : Mom in KL

Mom went down to KL with Yeow after Hong's 49 days. It was very difficult to persuade her to travel. We have tried till giving up. However, CL was successful by only a few words.

We stopped by at tgk for an early lunch prior departing for KL. It was about 2 pm when we saw our mom's happy face greeting her grandson. To our surprise, little CY recognised his grandma and called our "Ah Maa...!" It added the shine of the grandma's radiated face.
When yeow went for his German class, we paid a visit to han's place. Yin recommended us to have the pasembur by a roadside hawker.
The dinner was at Green Meadow at SS2. PL liked the food but not CC & mom. After filling up our stomach, we headed for Ikano Power Station. We did not have much time to shop around but just in time to grab 4 pieces chair pads to make up the only 2 at home for our dining chairs and a wall clock. Since little CY was dozing off, we made our move at 10pm. We dozed into deep sleep at 11pm after taking a bath.

25 Nov 2007
The morning started as early as 7am. Little CY was awoke at 6am, with a reluctant PL still hiding inside the blanket. So, the grandma took over to look after him for 30 minutes till PL dragged her feet to the bath room.
We went to the nearby market. The breakfast was average, just to make ourselves not hungry. Well, mom kept on complaining and comparing the food with Penang. How could it be compared with the food paradise, especially on hawker food ?
Mom bought some vegetable and a kampung chicken for lunch. She was busy cooking curry chicken, cabbage with fish , and also herbal soup.
After lunch, we headed back to tgk. We did not forget to have a short celebration for chen's & xiao ru's birthday.

Even the trip was short and tiring, it was pleasant.

23 Nov 2007 : Farewell in Todak

Another workmate was leaving.

We had a great time in Todak, especially the video session whereby everyone got the chance to give a "speech". Had a great team but life moved on.....

19 Nov 2007 : Monday

It was nice to come back earlier. PL took a quick shower and prepared the dinner in the kitchen. It was a simple dinner - rice + cabbage soup + fried mushroom with onions in chili sauce.

However, someone just spoilt the cosy home sweet home.. grrr...

16 Nov 2007 : Steamboat feast

PL was thinking of a small gathering with the girls and Mike. She finally suggested to them on a mini steamboat feast. PL cooked the soup - one was the normal flavour with only ikan bilis, dried scallop and cabbage and another was tom yam. PL seldom cooked nowadays, luckily the tom yam soup turned out not bad.

We were wondering why they left so early, thinking they had some plans. This evening, PL found out that they did not want to disturb little CY's sleeptime. The result of making assumptions without clarification ! PL was thinking to have the feast at home so that we could chat more.

14 Nov 2007 : Small feast..

We used to have food at the small round coffee table in the large cubicle. This morning, we were caught in surprise on a box of goodies, contributed by an Indian's colleague for the first time. The table has been piled up with Raya kuih and biscuit for last few weeks. We had something different today.

Mike, our US counterpart also brought us 2 boxes of Hershey's milk chocolate and 2 big pack of M & M to satisfy our sweet tooth. PL liked the badge holder the most since she was looking for it for quite sometime. However, she could not find any shops or book stores selling it.The staff meeting was kind of pleasant today. And, PL finally finished compiling the cost improvement file and guided the team to list down the spending. She actually ignored the email because we all thought the boss would be coming back on this Monday. It ended up PL still needed to coordinate for the compilation. Anyhow, it was accomplished with satisfation.
