Finally, we got a decision on certain assignments.
It motivates PL to continue to move on....

25 Mac 2006 : Found...
It was raining with strong wind. What a good time for afternoon nap.
PL surfed a forum, surprised to find her brother's photo in one of the forum.

Noon, met Slyn & her hubby outside Silk Temple before they led us to Restoran Muthu. The typical South Indian food there is not bad. It reminded PL on Banana Leaf in Innira's Restaurant, Pg. They were served with a piece of banana leaf each, placed 4 types of assorted vegetables on the top part, followed by scoops of rice. PL & Slyn's hubby chose the dhal curry, Slyn chose fish curry & CC wanted it plain without sauce. We ordered warm water and also Rasem, the spicy soup. The dishes were chicken, mutton & cabbage. Quite interesting to have those items ladled around the rice.
After the rain, we went for grocery shopping in JJ. Lingering around. Sipping starbuck coffee. PL still had unpleasant stomach for weeks.

THE Department of Veterinary Services is concentrating its efforts at the Kinta Nature Park, situated 3km from here, to find out the origin of the virulent H5N1 which has spread throughout Perak.The 950ha ex-mining pond houses a thriving community of wild birds - close to 130 species - that flock at the park during their annual migration cycle.

PENANG: Bird flu has appeared in mainland Penang, with samples from six dead chickens in Kampung Permatang Bogak Penaga, Seberang Prai Utara here, testing positive for the H5N1 virus.The discovery prompted the authorities to order the culling of some 200 chickens within a one-kilometre radius of the village. The exercise began last night.
Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the samples were sent to the Veterinary Research Institute in Ipoh last Saturday.
"The dead chickens were among 20 reared by one of the villagers. We received the confirmation yesterday that the samples tested positive for the H5N1 virus," he said.

農業及農基工業部長丹斯里慕尤丁說，週一檳州威北峇東波葛發現雞只感染禽流感，週二霹靂州上述地區也出現禽流感病例，因此擔心禽流感會快速蔓延開來。
他說，章卡玲瓏3隻雞的樣本被發現感染禽流感病毒、迪迪干冬6隻雞的樣本呈陽性反應，而曜明苑的鳥類也感染此病毒。之前，雪州鵝嘜、霹靂武吉美拉湖鎮和務邊甘榜章吉督亞冷及檳州威北本那牙峇東波葛先後出現雞感染禽流感的病例。慕尤丁週二在國會走廊受詢時說，農業部已指示各州獸醫局長召開會議，以便各州進行樣本檢查；之前當局只在有問題的地區進行樣本檢驗。
他說，這意味著更多樣本需呈交給怡保、八打靈再也及博特拉大學實驗室，以進行檢驗。他指出，農業部不曉得禽流感病毒何時來襲，因為候鳥過境是不分晝夜的。
最大問題是控制病毒
“在大馬出現的禽流感病毒很大可能是來自候鳥，目前逾40個國家成為目標，如何控制此病毒是最大的問題。”

20 Mac 2006 : KFC
Today, ERT arranged for chemical spillage training by 3M. I joined in for refresher and observeed the progress so far.
Late evening, we had another eat-in in one of the meeting rooms.
This round, H spent us KFC.
Chat, laughter, and quiet when enjoying the food.
Busy. Tonnes of outstanding items to be completed. Need to have a good rest.

19 Mac 2006 : 乌龟游泳 ？
CC went for a swim after our grocery shopping.
Giant is having some kind of great discounts on grocery. Go...before it is too late.
CC found 2 little red/green turtles swimming in the pool, in front of him ! He alerted the security guard. While looking for a net, one of the swimmers caught the turtles & handed over to the guard.
Today lunch will be bak kut teh. Has been quite some times, we did not cook bak kut teh.
Breakfast was at the newly Malay stall opened near to the multipurpose hall. Typical malay store. home cook dishes. not bad.

18 Mac 2006 : Bright Day
Did PL mention about mole removal ?
There are a few moles that are quite obvious on her face that her mom used to ask her to find a way to get rid of them.
There were twice that PL suffered the pain of laser to remove them within this month. Still have some left over that might require touch up in near future.
PL was having sleepy head when she was in Yoga. Luckily, CC did the driving. If not, PL might not be able to recognize the traffic light or route. "I" could not wake up that she went for the 2nd class at 7am. What a good day to sleep.....PL still felt sleepy after the breakfast...
Going to attend a colleague's wedding at noon.
PL's mua zhi making will then postpone to tomorrow.
Read the paper. Found that Penang plant is looking for people. PL fulfilled all the requirement for one of the post. Ha.... Anyhow, wondering why her senior who is very capable did not take up that position.
We arrived at the reception quite early. The kompang started at 2.15pm. Among the guests, we were the only 2 Chinese before LM arrived with H & R . Thus, M's relatives looked for spoon & folk for us.
They served 2 varieties of rice : Nasi Briyani and plain rice. The colorful Nasi Briyani was very delicious, cooked with spice & saffron. Dishes were mixed vegetables, sweet sauce chicken, beef rendang & mutton. As we were early, the bride's father brought us the "bunga telur" and chatted with us for a while. Besides, they also ta pao a packet ofr nasi Bryani, chicken, cakes and 1 "bunga pinang". H & R arrived around 1.30pm, bring along the present from us.
It was LM's 1st time to Malay wedding that she asked some questions but not all were answered. PL tried to find some answers elsewhere.
Bunga Telur
Traditionally "bunga telur" (Flower Egg) is given to the wedding guests as it symbolises a fertile union and many children for the married couple. The egg usually is placed together with paper or plastic flower.
Walking Procession
Bride and bridegroom walk to bride's house, with the company of a group of people beating komapang (hand drum) and singing, an escort holding yellow umbrella and also bearers of bunga manggar (Palm Blossoms).
Bersanding
The couple sit at the pelamin (raised dais) , fanning by 2 persons, each at one side. Sometimes, there will be some kind of performance like bersilat in front on the couple.

16 Mac 2006 : Unreasonable...
Today, PL's co-worker striked again. He is a hardcore that turn his ears deaf, even did not pay respect to his superior or boss.
Anyhow, many of us had a great time, chewing up pizza in the evening. It was a belated cny treat by PL to her colleagues.
PL fried mee as there was still time to prepare dinner for CC. CC missed the fried mee by looking at his contented smile.

15 Mac 2006 : Normal
Today, PL brought back half set of KFC. They gave their MD a suprised birthday party. It was pleasant and made the atmosphere more lively. Though, everyone ate silently without any laughters. Wish there was a crown in the group.
As usual, CC ta pao Penang Hokkien Mee for PL. With the KFC, we shared out the portion to be a hearty dinner.
Yoga was better for PL after eating one piece of KFC. Should eat prior the class in future.
CC had a farewell with his colleague who left to take care of her bb at home; and, the cleaner was treated with a lunch by a few of them because they are going to move in new office in Suntec. The old office will be vacant.
