And if i could find another 30 minutes somewhere, I'm sure everything would find me, All that's left is to sing.
Hm, i watched Shutter Island yesterday. Deeply traumatized for 70% of the whole movie. I mean dude, watching dead kids talk and drown is utmost disturbing. With that said, Shutter Island is quite a good movie, say 4/5 stars. But i bet 80% of the people who watch the show do not actually realise the real storyline until someone explains it to them. lol
Anyway its really disturbing because the plot (which isn't actually true) builds up on how this Mental Institute is conducting neurosurgical tests on their patients, trying to numb/cut off certain nerves in our brain, thus being able to maim someone's ability to feel pain or have emotions. Its really terrifying because its already evident in our current world. I mean we have pain killers to numb sensory nerves so that we don't feel pain. Likewise, if a patient were to have his sensory nerves for pain in his brain removed, he wouldn't feel pain as well. What difference does that make from a guy that's permanently on pain killers? nothing much i guess, except from a few scars from the neuro surgery.
With that said, if we're able to develop medicine like painkillers to numb nerves or medicine to prevent PMS, haha like those to prevent the release of hormones that cause PMS. Then we'll also be able to synthesize medicine to control the release of hormones that make us happy or sad or whatever. Thus we'll be able to control our emotions as well. Quite scary huh? I mean afterall, emotions are hormones. Okay finally i've said what's on my mind, its been kinda daunting. haha
uh oh, and I REALLY DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY GREECE IS BANKRUPT AND NEED TO BORROW 60 BILLION FROM OTHER COUNTRIES AND THE IMF. I MEAN IF A COUNTRY CAN'T EVEN AFFORD 60 BILLION SOMETHING's REALLY WRONG. THEN WHY BOTHER INVESTING BILLIONS TO WIN THE RIGHTS TO HOST THE OLYMPICS WHEN GREECE IS ALREADY IN SUCH A DIRE STATE.
and also, Africa's investing so much to host the world cup when millions in Africa's starving. =.="
GG my friend.
goodnight! :D

okay, so this morning while reading the newspapers i chanced across this advertisement. It was printed big big on the first page, so bo bian sure must see.
Bio-Essenc e was advertising on some new product which is said to contain ATP. They even explained broadly on what ATP is, and what it does in the cells. Yes yes, now we all know what it does, but DUDE!!!! ATP DOESN'T EVEN LAST MORE THAN 5 SECONDS IN YOUR CELLS, WHAT MORE IN AIR!!?!?!??!! =.="
even if you say that its integrity would be well maintained in the solution, ultimately you still have to put it on your skin, which exposes it to air!
even if you say that its integrity would be well maintained in the solution, ultimately you still have to put it on your skin, which exposes it to air!
AND ATP IS SO BIG, HOW DO YOU EXPECT IT TO BE DIFFUSED OR ACTIVELY TRANSPORTED INTO OUR CELLS?!?!?!??!?!?!!? =.="
furthermore, its not a molecule that's transported around in our body, thus i think even the cell membranes don't contain any receptors for ATP molecules. sigh, atp will never work. lol

I will safely conclude that this can be on www.failblog.com, as failed marketing gimmicks.

Its like you can't look at the sun, but you need it to look at everything else.
4 days left till the end of my civillian life.
Nothing much these days.
Oh, NUS medicine rejected me, but i'm bent on becoming a doctor. I'll try again next year. And the year after. And if it still fails, i'll come up with something. Maybe rob the bank so that i'll have cash to study overseas? lol
But this is really saddening. They rejecting me :(
Anyway, on the brighter side, NTU accepted me for their business school. This is really flattering, given the fact that they're 10th percentile grades are AAA, while mine's ABB.
Argh ABB :( still not happy about it.
Its an irony how i cannot wait for army, yet detest going into army. Sigh but its the inevitable, so i guess i'll just make the best out of it.
Lol and this is cute:

I could really do with a wish right now.
Dear Blog,
Sunday was fitra's Birthday so i went to Swensens with my Ex-JC Classmates after Church. Queer, the previous time i met them was at the SAME EXACT Swensen's shop, at Ion. haha
It was fun meeting up with them again. My life in JC was seriously really fun because of them, during my jc1. haha jc2 was just so rushy and muggy.
After that, met up with CCA mates TseSiong and Weiming, together with two of my ex-classmates, WeiJie and KengYang. Ate at soup's spoon. Somehow i really like the place. haha i really don't know, what's so fantastic about drinking soup. haha I ordered some chief specials and it has LOADS of potato inside.
POTATO = CARBO = HIGH GI = INSULIN SPIKE = FAT.
hahaha so i didn't eat like most of the potato cubes. =x
And it just punched me in the face that i have 6 more days to live a civillian life. Sigh i'm getting Pre-Enlistment Depression. I know i'll love army, but i just don't wanna extend my ambitions/dreams/goals by two years. I was initially happy with army, but now with things in mind that i wanna do... i view army a tad differently. haha
Oh and i love this song.

Airplanes
FINALLY NO FEVER! :D
Today i went to Sentosa with CCA mates, then met my secondary school clique after that. I was really late, but oh well. The fire show at sentosa was really compelling. lol
Here's some of the funniest puns I've seen:
1) I wondered why the baseball was getting bigger. Then it hit me.
2)People who plug their computer keyboards into hi-fi systems aren't idiots. That would be stereotyping.
3) A small boy swallowed some coins and was taken to a hospital. When his grandmother telephoned to ask how he was a nurse said 'No change yet'.
And i didn't search for these puns just because i was bored. I saw my friend post something on facebook, and then added "pun intended". Haha immediately, i was like, IS THAT EVEN A PUN!??!?! So to be sure, i went to do some googling.
Alright i need to be up early tmr. Goodnight :)

nerves
Since Sunday morning I have been sick. I'm a lot better now, but i know I'm only feeling really good because of panadol. No panadol, and i'll be back to feeling all weak and tired.
I think at the peak of my fever, it was 39.5 degrees. lol
And i went to a clinic near my place, the doctor asked me how come i'm still smiling. HAHA
Tmr i've got an SMU interview for business at 7.15pm. Its a group interview, i hope i've got ideas to contribute.
Oh, this morning i chanced across some of hilter's sordid experiments during his reign. It was on youtube, and boy, they are crazy. lol
In one video, they dismembered the dog's head from its body, then connect some tubes to the head. At the other end of the tubes was a machine which acted as an surrogate body. DISGUSTING CAN. And what's more degrading was the fact that these experiments on dogs were to test if they can be used on humans. If it works on dogs, then they'll try it on humans in the concentration camp. lol
okay enough, i better get some sleep.
Goodnight!

And i would just stop and stare.
Dear Blog,
Okay so here's how i did my Bokeh Experimental Shots.
While giving my sister and her friend math tuition, i had loads of time to cut up pieces of black paper to make a filter for my lens. And i'm not trying to be a bad teacher, but they take like 1 hour to do 2 partial fraction questions, so i might as well make use of the time.

Tah - daah! this is the out come after using a compasses to draw the circle, a pair of scissors to cut the main shape out and pen knife to cut the heart shape out.
So basically, i just mount this on the front of my lens to make light that enters the lens conform to a heart shape. (sorry i don't have a picture of it being mounted onto my lens)

However, things are never that smooth sailing. I had to make a few filters before getting the right one. The other filters gave weird images which weren't really clear. Like these:

Okay so goodnight :)
its already 2am.
Goodnight,
Christopher

NUS PLEASE CALL ME. PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
YAY SMU CALLED ME FOR INTERVIEW! BUT NUS I'M WAITING FOR YOU!! YOU BETTER COME QUICK!
Today i went to the dentist, argh. Then gave my sister and her friend tuition. Then went out at night to do some experimental shots. :)
Don't ask me why they're heart shapes, haha Heart shapes are easier to do than stars and stuff.
And they're not photoshopped, they're all experimental and not really clear haha. I think I'll need a marcro sense to do this really well.
I'll blog about how i did it tmr :)
(this one's taken in my living room)

Dear Blog,
Yesterday was really busy. However i had awesome fun. I WENT TO THE MUSEUM!! YAY THE PERANAKAN MUSEUM! haha i learnt quite a fair bit on my culture. I never acutally noticed that my house has many peranakan things - like the design of some cupboards, sofas, pots and stuff.
Well, now I am more aware of these cultural things at home. After the museum, i caught Clash of the Titans. To me, the story was cliche, however it was quite a good show. hm, 8.5/10?
Before the movie some people told me it was bad, however i think its because they had really high expectations from the really thrilling trailer, which could have led to them feeling disappointed with the show and hence rating it badly.
Okay time to sleep! :D
goodnight
With regards,
Christopher Chan

EASTER EASTER EASTER!
Dear Blog,
Today's Easter Sunday. If you don't know what's Easter Sunday, its this special sunday to commemorate Good Friday. Well, the bible tells me that God sent his son, Jesus, to die on the cross as a propitiate for our sins, so that we will have a solution to reconcile this relationship with God. And the day he died was marked Good Friday and he day he ressurected was signified as Easter Sunday. Walah, Good Friday and Easter Sunday in a nut shell.
Apart from today being an awesome day, I really wish NUS will just call me. Like, "hello, is this Mr Christopher Chan? We're pleased to informed you that you have been shortlisted for the Medicine course, please come down for the interview on ____ "
C'mon NUS. :D
Oh and one day this week i'm going down to marina barrage (i think thats the place) to take night photos on the CBD/city area in Singapore. You know the Singapore Flyer and all the tall sky scrappers are so nicely litted up at night :) i'm sure it'll look really cool. Do inform me if you wanna tag along.
Okay i better get some rest.
Yours Sincerely,
Christopher Chan

Roses and Butterfles.
Hi Blog! i know i've been away for quite away. I've been perpetually busy with my UNI essays. I don't know why i write them so slowly. Its either that my brain's rusty after not using it for awhile, or that I'm easily distracted. Oh wait, it could be both. haha
I can take up to 4 hours just to write a 300 word essay. lol
Oh and also its 300 words to brag about yourself. Not very easy for a humble person like me. ahhemmm haha.
So anyway, this is how i celebrated my good friday. I had a church service at expo in the morning. I acted in the good friday skit. Then at 6.30pm, there was this programme. Started off with a BBQ followed by some games and a photography workshop. The whole event ended at 4.30AM so i only slept at 6AM! haha but it was awesome. These are some cool shots taken. Not photoshopped.

Hm, apart from Good Friday, nothing much happened. Everyday was just about chionging university applications. I really hope i get into medicine. pray.
Okay and this song is still a classic.
I'll try and update more frequently now. So that i don't forget anything that i've done in my life. haha.
Goodnight world.
