Remember When...

This fall I went on a vacation extravaganza with my cousin Megs and her friend Lisa! What fun! We saw Cranbrook Gardens in Michigan, I absolutely fell in LOVE with Bloomfield Hills, MI, we flew to NY for the day and saw the Broadway Musical "Wicked" ON Broadway, got to experience NY rush hour gridlock, and spent the rest of the week on the beach of Lake Huron in Canada! Since it was at the end of summer the lake was warm! One day I took a walk and actually walked IN the water to keep warm! What paradise! We got to stay in Meg's family's cottage right on the beach and could run down to the beach in seconds! What delight! We built fires in the fireplace at night, read "beach books" all day on the beach, went kayaking, and did all sorts of shopping! I admit, I miss daily walks on the beach and all the cute old people who would say "hi" as we'd pass... but I guess Antalope Island is just down the road here eh? (Of course I don't think there are a lot of older people walking the beaches of Antalope Island...)
