So we're pretty much halfway through term 2 and it's still winter. No words can describe how much i miss the warmth, sun and most of all, lazy days by the beach. ive picked up a new hobby - cooking. Believe it or not. In Singapore, it's kind of pointless to cook since you can get a heaping plate of Hokkien Mee for $3, while the cheapest nosh easily available here is probably a cold sandwich or a kebab for £4, about $8. That has unleashed the homebody in me. And I've got pictures to prove it:

complete with my recipe sharing page HERE! It's funny how before I left for London, everyone dissuaded me to cook in case I force it down their throats, and now I get so many comments on FB asking me to cook for them/ offering to do a taste test. Haha.
Anyway, I hope everyone had a lovely Chinese New Year wherever you are, filled with love and lots of food. I had my first CNY without the family in this dreadful cold, thankfully with the company of friends. There were tons of food, including a modified Lou Hei courtesy of Angie.

Of course we had to watch an old HK flick (from youtube plugged to the TV) and gamble to complete the festivities like how everyone does during CNY anyway.
It's amazing how time flies and by March I would have been here for half a year. I tell myself I could get used to this, but I know that at the end of the day, probably not.
im just trying to love you any kind of way.
but i find it hard to love you when you're far away.
