Halloween, football, stitches and more football

HALLOWEEN!!!
The kids loved trick or treating this year. Josh thinks he's old enough to take off on his own with friends (pillow cases in hand) to get as much candy as they can. Me, Savannah, and Spence left Dan and Nate at home to 'hand out candy'. We met up with, my sister, Jeana and, cousin, Pam. The kids got way too much candy and had a great time.

FOOTBALL!!!
Spencer is so much fun to watch as he plays football, he's not as intense as his older brother when it comes to sports 'YET' (give it a few years). He made his first touchdown of the season on Saturday, way to go Spence!!!

I had to throw this one in cause it is so darn cute! This is Nathan getting his first haircut, it was time to shave off the mullet!

STITCHES!!!
Savannah ended up with stitches last weekend. She was learning how to 'jump the curb' with her scooter. She couldn't wait to get to school the next day to show the boys in her class that she is tougher than them.

TACKLE FOOTBALL!!!
Josh played tackle football for the first time this year. He did GREAT! Josh has a natural gift when it comes to sports, especially running and football. It has been so great watching his games and seeing him do so good. He has loved every second of it. GO FLYERS! #24 ROCKS!!

Meet Nathan

Its been almost a year since I last blogged (in fact I'm not sure if I know how to do it anymore :) There is way to much to catch up on but I will try to stay more faithful to this blogging biz.
I was just reading the last few posts that I did... until I had read the one on how we told the kids that we were having another baby I had totally forgot how we told them, I had even forgot that we told them on Christmas! That's when it hit me, I'm old and tired and have no memory anymore, so therefore I need to blog so that I can remember all of the things we do around this crazy house. My kids are always saying and doing the funniest things and I'm always saying, "I need to write that down" and so here I go and here's to another try at blogging!

Nathan Christopher Cazier

here's his story: Our sweet little boy decided to come a month early. It was 4th of July weekend and we had a Bailey reunion at the cabin planned. Early Friday morning(3 am), July 2nd, Dan was paged out to a structure fire, while I was listening to his pager I realized that I was having a few contractions. The contractions continued all morning while I was packing and shopping for our trip, finally around noon I decided to run to the hospital to get checked before we left town. I was thinking that my contractions were about 15 min apart. Dan stayed at home with the kids to finish getting us ready to go. I was a little more than shocked to find out after the nurses had hooked me up to their monitor that my contrations were 3 minutes apart. It's only my fourth child, you think I'd be a little more aware of these things. They tried to stop my labor all day, with no success, finally at 6 pm the doc came in and said "Can Dan be here in 20 min?" I was already planning a C'section (which is good because he ended up being breech anyway). My sister met Dan in the parking lot to grab my kids (the rest of my family was already at the reunion). We had Nate at 7:04 p.m. He is the sweetest baby ever! He is so patient with his siblings always loving on him. He rarely crys and his sweet smile will melt anyones heart. We are lovin our little man!!!

COUNTDOWN FROM NEW YEARS BACK TO CHRISTMAS EVE
My dearest cousin Natalie told me I couldn't stalk her blog anymore until I updated mine. I know, I know it's been less than a week since I posted last but apparently that doesn't count since Natalie posted that one for me. I was thinking I was good with the updates on my blog til at least Valentines, but NO! So here is my countdown from our New Years Partying at the cabin back through the holidays. You could consider this your Cazier holiday tour.
We spent New Years at the cabin with Grandma and Grandpa, Kris and Amy and Jeana and Rich's families. The kids were in Heaven. I didn't even hear the words "I'm bored" once, now that's heaven. There was plenty of sledding and crashes but everyone came home in one piece.
Spencer's face is priceless in this one.

Crash and burn

Banging on pots and pans celebrating the New Year. Hello 2010!!!!
My beautiful Mom wearing the snow outfit she's had since 1985!! It's a classic.

Carson's first experience in the snow wasn't the best, I think he was a little shocked it was actually cold... he's used the Phoenix heat.

We took all the cousins to Jumpin Jacks, they ran around wild for a few hours, wore themselves out and we just sat and watched while sippin on our soda. Good Times!!!

CHRISTMAS DAY
Grandma and Josh with their matching braces!!!
We went to my parents on Christmas night and all the guys were in their BYU attire, you would almost think they planned it (like we used to do back in elementary, hee hee). It was a picture perfect moment.

When the kids wake up on Christmas morning they blow their whistles to wake us up before they can come up the stairs. This is them waiting patiently for me to get my camera ready. (side note: those white spots on the walls are not a decoration statement. We just got our walls patched from all the dings now they are awaiting the painter (ME) to finish the job.)
CHRISTMAS EVE
We started the tradition about 3 years ago to go to Pine Valley to play in the snow on Christmas Eve. It's something the kids look forward to every year. The hill was so icy and fast they liked going on their bums instead of the sleds.

SO that's our holidays in a nutshell. I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and wish you all a great year in 2010!!!
(Natalie, I will be stalking your blog now, love ya)

Christmas surprise

Wow, mom and dad, you shouldn't have . . .
What?
Awesome!

This Christmas was extra exciting because we had a little something up our sleeves for the kids. This was something that was not on their lists--wasn't even really on ours but it was a great surprise! At first when they opened the little green blanket, they were not quite sure what was going on. Finally they figured it out and they were super excited! We are expecting our new addition around the first week of August. Savannah will turn eight at the end of July so we'll have a busy month with a blessing and a baptism but we can't wait!
