Here's the menu for the week:
Sunday: Rachel Ray's Sloppy Joes and Karin's Cheesy Potatoes
Monday: Homemade Gnocchi with Sauce and Meatballs, Garlic Toast
Tuesday: Hockey Practice Night~ Hot Dogs, Velveeta Down Home Mac and Cheese, Baked Beans
Wednesday: Awesome Baked Pork Chops, Mashed Potatoes, Candied Carrots
Thursday: Poker Night--DH is hosting cards at our house. The menu hasn't been finalized, but will include kielbassi and kraut, beer bread and dip, party pepperoncini, and deviled eggs.
Friday: Homemade Pizza and Breaded Wings
Saturday: Submarine Sandwiches, Chips and Fresh Fruit

My Excitement for the Day....
I finally found a set of affordable apothecary jars today at Big Lots. I was so excited that I had to take a picture of them! They need cleaned. I'm debating whether to put them in the bathroom filled with swabs, cotton balls and soaps or to leave them in the dining room and fill them with seasonal candies. Maybe I should just buy another set! What do you think?

Family Game Night Recipes
3 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (16 ounces)
2 tablespoons basil pesto
1 tablespoon grated onion
1/4 teaspoon yellow mustard
2 drops red pepper sauce
1 container (4 ounces) whipped cream cheese, softened
Cover each cheese mixture and refrigerate about 4 hours or until firm enough to shape. Shape each cheese mixture into ball. Wrap each ball, label and freeze.
About 12 hours before serving, remove balls from freezer. Thaw in wrappers in refrigerator.
Arrange balls on serving plate with smaller ball on top for head of snowman. Frost snowman with whipped cream cheese before serving. Decorate as desired. Serve with crackers. Store covered in refrigerator.
Bacon Wrapped Brown Sugar Smokies
1 lb bacon
brown sugar
1 (16 ounce) package Little Smokies sausage
toothpicks
Cut strips in bacon into 1/3's.
Wrap 1/3 cut bacon strips around each lil' smokie and secure with a toothpick.
Place one layer of bacon wrapped smokies in bottom of crockpot.
Cover completely with brown sugar.
Repeat with layer of bacon wrapped smokies.
Repeat layering until you finish w/a layer of brown sugar.
Cook in crock pot approximately 3-4 hours.
Frosty Punch
2-2L of Ginger Ale
1 quart of Pineapple Sherbert
Place frozen sherbert into punch bowl. Pour Ginger Ale over the sherbert. Break up sherbert with spoon. Serve.
Vegetable Pizza
2 (8 ounce) cans refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (1 ounce) package dry ranch dressing mix
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup finely chopped green pepper
1cup finely chopped cucumber
1/2 cup shredded carrots
Place the unrolled crescent dough onto a pizza pan.
Spread the dough out with your hands until it covers the pan.
Bake about 8 minutes at 375°F until lightly browned.
While its baking, combine the cream cheese, mayonnaise and Ranch dressing; mix well.
Remove the crust from the oven and let it cool slightly.
Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust, then top with the chopped vegetables and cheese.
Cut into wedges and serve.

Pork Chops for the Slow Cooker
Pork Chops for the Slow Cooker
6 boneless pork chops
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
2 garlic cloves, Crushed
salt & pepper (I didn't use the salt. The soy sauce has enough sodium.)
Place pork chops in slow cooker. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over pork chops.
Cook on Low setting for 6 hours, until internal temperature of pork has reached 160 degrees F.

Angel Lush
1can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple in juice, undrained
1 pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Fat Free Sugar Free Instant Reduced Calorie Pudding & Pie Filling
1 cup thawed COOL WHIP LITE or COOL WHIP Sugar Free Whipped Topping
1 pkg. (10 oz.) round angel food cake
10 fresh strawberries
MIX pineapple and dry pudding mix in medium bowl. Gently stir in whipped topping.
CUT cake horizontally into three layers. Place bottom cake layer, cut-side up, on serving plate; top with one-third of the pudding mixture. Repeat layers two times.
REFRIGERATE at least 1 hour. Top with berries just before serving. Store leftovers in refrigerator.
