Fishing with Grandad

Bobby and I took the boys to the Arden lease to go fishing with my dad today. Mason seemed to enjoy the outdoors, at least for a little while. Cash did so well. We took his little blue chair and he sat in it for the longest time. My dad insisted that I fish and he sat with the boys. We ended up trading off several times. Bobby is what we call a social fisher. He throws out a line with a bell at the end of the rod. He then socializes til it rings. The first time it rang he was holding Cash and the fish started to pull the pole in the water. Grandad ran over and grabbed Cash so Bobby could reel in the fish. It was a very nice sized catfish, but the line snapped at the bank. The second time it rang, Bobby was again socializing. We had to yell at him to get his pole. It was on its way in the water. This time we worked together to get the fish on the bank. It was huge!! I caught a few catfish, some perch and nice little bass. Grandad even caught a few cats and perch. Cash kept pointing and trying to say fishy. He wanted to touch each one. Grandad showed Cash the worms and we wondered if they would end up in his mouth like everything does. Amazingly, they didn't. He did try to play with the worms constantly.
We went to dad's house afterwards to clean the fish and took some pictures. It was a lot of fun and we cant wait to go back again.

Cash was checking out the bass

Snip Snip

So, I cut Cash's hair yesterday. I was tired of it sticking out in every direction when he woke up from naps. I was impressed with how well he sat still while I did it too. He looks so grown up now. I love it. I even gave him a mohawk today. He rocked it!!

Time to get caught up

I know it has been a while since I posted anything, I am sorry. The boys are doing great. Mason has had some congestion and I took him to the doctor for it. He weighed 13 lbs 4.6 oz and was 23 3/4 in. He had gained a pound and grown 3/4in in only 3 weeks. He is going to be in the same size diapers as Cash by the time he is 4 mths old. He is wearing up to 6 mth clothes already ( and Cash can still wear 6 mth clothes) In the last few weeks we have had alot going on. I took the boys to my moms for a week. She wanted to take Cash to the zoo, so we did. I really liked all the animals. He got to pet a bird in the children's zoo area. He really enjoyed watching the monkeys swing. We were at the zoo for 3 hrs and only saw half of it. We did take pictures in front of the giraffes. My mom has a picture of her holding me in front of the giraffes when I was little so she wanted one of her with Cash. Mason slept the whole time. We also went to the Arboretum, the Botanical Gardens. They had play houses from children's stories on display. It was so much fun and very beautiful. However, the video camera died, then my camera died and then moms camera died so we don't have too many pictures.

Easter was great. Mason was baptised. My mom, Johnny T, Bobby's dad and Lisa all came into town for the weekend. Mamaw (Bobby's grandmother), and Frankie and Royce (Bobby's aunt and uncle) came to the baptism also. We took Cash to the service with us. He was sitting with my mom when we went up for the baptism, but quickly wanted to join us. Bobby picked him up and Cash reached over to rub Mason on the head. It was SOOOOO sweet. The church held an Easter egg hunt for the children, so we took Cash. It took him a few minutes to understand that he was supposed to put the eggs in the basket. He was trying to hold them all. Once he got the hang of it he was off and running for more eggs. After church we all went to dad's for lunch, and more egg hunting.

This past Sunday was gospel Sunday at church. We sang several old songs and dad had 4
solos. He did a great job. Chelsea and Sach even showed up. We took Cash to the service for the first half. He loves music and really enjoyed watching grandad sing. Afterwards we met Chelsea and Sach at the park so she could take some new family pictures.
Today we went to see Memaw. I wanted to get a picture of her with Mason and Cash. She has a black eye because she fell this weekend. She is doing well, just a little sore.
I am posting some of the pictures we took over the last few weeks.
(They may not be in order)

I will post the zoo pics as soon as my mom sends them to me.

A Day at the Park

I have been trying to get Cash to a park for sometime now. I needed someone to go with me because I couldn't leave Mason unattended while I chased Cash around the park. So finally Chelsea was able to go with us. We went to Unidad Park. I think I was more excited than anyone else. When we first got there Cash was not interested at all. He is very much a "people watcher", so he really didn't care about the swings, the sand box, or the slide. After a little while we found a xylophone and that got his attention. This kid truely has Stinnett blood in him. He loves music. Well, after finding something to get him excited, he was ready to play. Chelsea and I took turns palying with him and sitting with Mason. I let Chelsea go down the slides with him, she is alot smaller and fits better in those little tunnels.

I am also including some pictures I took in the last couple of weeks.

Cash and Mason

So the boys are changing everyday. Cash has learned the word NO. He loves to say NO NO NO NO. He also learned the dog's name, Bo. He enjoys going outside and calling Bo's name at the fence. He thinks he is sooo big. It is too cute. Cash started Mothers Day Out this past week. He seems to like it. He colored his first picture and did his first sand art project. So, of course, they are on the fridge!
Cash is doing so great with Mason. He is my little helper, or so he thinks. Anytime Mason cries, Cash is there trying to help. Bouncing, swinging, giving brother his pacifier. You name it, Cash tries it. He is even trying to unbuckle Mason in the swing and bouncer. The kid is way too smart.

Mason is getting better with his reflux. The doctor started him on the liquid Zantac, just like Cash. I swear if the boy keeps eating the way he is, he will be huge. He is going to be our Linebacker, for sure. He is finally starting to get his days and nights straight. We have had four full nights of sleep, just not in a row.

Cash had just woke up from his nap
and still had a smile for the camera.

Finally a picture with his eyes open.

Mason loves to be naked.

Getting started

Okay, here goes nothing. I have been told I needed to start a blog by many. I figure if Chels can do it so can I. HAHAHA!

Well, Bobby is enjoying his job at Family Power Sports. It is starting to pick up agian. Cash is learning so much right now. He has the tune to the ABC's down and walks around the house singing his own words to it. He loves to have Daddy chase him around the house. Bobby will stomp his feet in place before he starts the chase. Cash has figured this out and now stomps his feet in place all the time. He finds it very funny. Mason is a bottomless pit just like Cash. He is eating 6 oz every 2-3 hrs. I dont know where it is going. He is changing so much.I cant wait to see what color his eyes will be. Right now they are a gray-blue, very different from the rest of us. Of course, the almost blonde hair is a huge diffenerce also. My boys are going to be as different looking as Chelsea and I are.

I am actually enjoying being a stay home mom. SHOCKER!!! I never thought I would like it. We will see how long it lasts!
