Hello again!

Well, I am now done with school. I have my BSN. What some of us may call Bull Sh.. Nurse. It didn't do me one bit of good, but I have it. I didn't get a raise, but I did get a badge that says: Ashley, BSN, PFN (patient flow nurse). Matt was in Mississippi when I passed my last paper, so he gave me a hug over the phone. I am glad to have it though. Western Governor's was a great school, I learned a lot and I completed a life achievement. Now for the Master's Degree so I can do exactly what I am doing now. Seriously, I will probably end up with it in a year or two. After Gabe goes to school we will see.

So, what have I done since I have graduated? Well, I have done some serious shopping. Quicken claims I have spent as much money on clothes (for the whole fam) as groceries. It must be a liar. I just love expensive jeans:) I wasted a whole week watching TV. A luxury I missed while going to school. I also finished decorating my sewing room and figured out my new industrial machine. It gets cooler each time I can translate how to do something out of Chinese. Seriously, it is the worst translation I have ever read on an owner's manual. I am starting to quilt. I am getting going on a pink quilt for Tristen. Other than that, I need to figure out how to start getting involved in Tristen's school.

For the family: Matt is excelling at ATK. I think he is a genious and he has been given 3 major rewards in the last 2 years. These are awards that people would be happy to get one of in a career. He really is so smart:) Now, if only he was smart enough to stop going to Mississippi every other week. Tristen is half way through her first year of kindergarten. She has almost lost her first tooth. We just can't get it all the way out. Gabe is a stinker. He is the best birth control in the world, but he is so my baby! He is hilarious and wears costumes everyday but school days. He is Darth Vader right now.

I am having so much fun crafting, so I am going to try to start putting some of my projects up. I just made a super cute carseat cover that duo's as a nursing cover. Lots of fun being creative and using up my entire closet of fabric.

Here are some pictures...

Well, I have been busy working and doing clinicals for school, so not puch posting. We just finished Vacation Bible School and the kids absolutely loved it. I think all the parents were exhausted by the end of the week.

I am super excited about Tristen starting school at Good Foundations Academy in a couple of weeks. I love uniforms too!!!! I watched all of these moms buying clothes for their kids the other day, and all I had to do was go online and order 6 shirts and 5 pants. Wonderful!!!

Otherwise, I have had some fun with digital scrapbooking and doing Tristen's hair fun. Here is a great website for free digital scrapbook stuff...

Winco Foods

I had so much fun, if you can call grocery shopping fun, at Winco foods today. They have this whole bulk barrel section. We got chocolate covered cinnamon bears, shark gummies, army men gummies, butterflies, granolas, bananas, teas, raspberry honey and even dog treats!!

It made me think of when my mom used to take us to Harmon's when we were kids. I remember wanting to "sample" them so bad.

The produce really is cheaper too.

Off to cook and do homework!

umm

Yah, I really suck at this. By this point, I am sure that no one else is looking at my blog. I didn't mean to try to fall off the face of the earth, it just kind of happened. I started school. You can finish the program in 1 year, but my goal is 6-9 months. Hence the fact that I have become completely non-social.

Matt and I are doing wonderful though. Our marriage is like a totally new marriage and we are best friends again. We have even started running together and are getting ready to sign up for a half marathon.

Tristen is beautiful and sweet. She just finished preschool and will be going to Good Foundations Academy Charter School next year. We are super excited about that.

Gabe is just Gabe. Naughty and hilarious. He only wears basketball shorts. He wears no other types of pants because basketball shorts. He wears them all the time because they are "special". He will be the death of me, but he is still my baby and I can't resist his kisses, even when he is being incredibly naughty.

Otherwise, life is good. Maybe I could actually do this again this month!!!

Facebook is gone, time to blog again

Well, some of Matt's old creepy friends from his old job tried to hit on me on facebook, so I decided to have it over.

Brief update:
After being separated for 5 months, Matt finally decided to give it all up to God. It has been a complete and total miracle and nothing less. He immediately came home and is a totally different man than I married. He has a love for God that is amazing. He is consciously thinking about ways to care and show me he loves me.

So, now that things are awesome, his work just sent him to Mississippi for the next month. I guess it was a blessing that I figured out how to live without him.

The kids are wonderful and we are off to Disneyland Saturday. It should be wonderful.

Hmm, so facebook happened

I haven't been posting much because I signed up for facebook. I found that it was much easier. I promised Matt I would only have girlfriends on it, but it should be good. So, if you don't see anything here, go to facebook.

My Rock Star for Jesus

Well, after getting to meet his Uncle Jo Jo (Jordan), Gabe has been beyond obsessed with guitars. He has been playing this little guitar that my mom gave him when he was one non-stop for over a month. Well, that just wouldn't work for a rock star guitar. We found this awesome electric guitar that you plug your ipoc (as Gabe would say) into and it plays that music with the guitar louder.

Then at Friday night church, Matt's cousin's husband DJ is the worship leader. Well, Gabe told me he wanted to be a rock star like DJ. I told him that DJ was a rock star for Jesus. Now, Gabe tells everyone he is going to be a rock star for Jesus. How happy does that make me? Very happy. We only listen to Christian music at home, so I would love him to sing songs that Praise God. What better thing could there be.

So, very seriously, Gabe is learning this guitar stuff. He is my little stud!
