Here are some pics Julie has taken over the last while.  And... new sitter Lisa!  We are excited, and by the looks of the pictures, I think they'll be just fine!  Grateful for our blessings!
First, I'm pretty grateful for paid time off.  Days like today, when I don't feel like doing much and the 'urgent' to-do list is quiet, I'm happy to use it.  Though I am in my office, should be cleaning it (I have decor from LAST Christmas), and waiting for my intern to get here. This morning is Copper's last full-day with Julie, since she spends Thursdays with Tim's mom.  So tomorrow is Micah and Kota's last day with her and I am SO SAD! I asked for a picture; kind of geeky but she's been a significant part of my kids' short little lives.   Things we love about Julie Cole and her family: They LOVE the girls and have welcomed them into their family  Julie always opens the door with a smile and says, "Hi cuties!" Julie tolerates Copper's picky food-isms  Julie plays with the girls and teaches them new words and tricks Max, Dallin, Lauren, and Sammy, and all the neighborhood kids, have chased the girls, played wit

Keep the Faith

Life has a funny way of working out.  Well, not funny at all, just one of those little mercies we're given. I have blogged a little bit about her before but this is to remember that our babysitter rocks.  I've known this since day one and have been grateful since then too. She's all my kids have known- the babies since they were three months and Copper since right before she was a year.  They walk up and basically own her home, and she lets them.  She loves them like they are her own.  I never, never, EVER have to worry about them.  She posts pics of cute things they do, she's made them darling clothes, she's taken them on birthday outings, she loves and hugs and adores them.  She's taken next to nothing for pay, not because we haven't wanted to pay her more but because we just haven't been able to financially.  Last week when she told us she was moving I kind of panicked.  "Kind of" is an understatement.  Shock at first, then panic. Life as we know it

One of Copper's jobs every day is to set the table for dinner.  It means clearing the table and putting down place mats.  I hand her the cups, silverware, and plates and she lays them out.  The other night I told her to get the table ready to be set and I carried crying twins upstairs for a bath.  By the time I'd gotten both babies bathed and dressed, here comes Copper up the stairs BEAMING.  She took my hand and led me downstairs; she had set the entire table herself!  She climbed up on the counters to reach the plates and cups; everyone had a spoon and fork, and Tim and I had butter knives.  Everyone had a cup and she had pulled a chair over to the fridge to get everyone water.  High chairs were pulled up to the table too, with sippy cups.  She had even taken some of the noodles I'd set aside to cool and placed three or four on everyone's plate. She is an awesome kid. And then she did this: She came to me with a bloody nose, which she's never gotten.  Upon
