Beauty and the Beast

We went and saw Copper last night in Beauty and the Beast at the high school. That theater team and teacher do absolutely amazing performances! It was so much fun to watch. I'm so glad she found her people and pushes herself to do things that are out of her comfort zone. Plus her best friend Megan was Chip, which made it perfect. She is so darling.

You can't quite tell, but Copper is dressed up as a dinner plate... Cutie has spent hours every day after school practicing for the Beauty and the Beast play coming up!

🎶 have I done any good on the world today🎶

You know the song 🎶 Have I done any good in the world today?" 🎶 If you do, you're probably singing it now.  I came home tonight from are youth activity to find a great big bouquet of flowers and an incredibly nice note.  I don't always know what happens to families I've worked with, but I've Loved all of them and I wonder sometimes what happens and if I've done anything useful.  I don't know how this mom found me and where I live, but she left this kind note and this bouquet of flowers and my heart is full. I genuinely loved this family. I cried and cried with them because no families should experience that much suffering in the world, and then I left that job with a little piece of them with me.  I'm so happy they are doing well!

Halloween and life

Texts from Kota are literally the best  Copper's thankful for Zelda Micah went trick or treating with her friend Eliza, who really wanted to be karate people. Micah was unamused but went along with it anyway. And I guess she already had the costume haha I made the girls commit to no more than 60 minutes to be together as a family before they went off trick or treating with friends. Homemade scones with honey butter, fruit, veggies, and a smoking drink... We love Spirit Halloween but it's too expensive to buy anything so we just look and take pictures I agreed to check the twins out of school early on Halloween if they helped me clean the house and get the yard done. I am not above that. And while I was at the school I ran into my cute niece and nephew so I made them take a picture. Copper and her friend Megan were the Chick-fil-A cows Dakota and her crew were construction workers Yes, Dakota definitely sends the best texts. I sent all the girls this cute little Stitch meme and

I set up a cute Halloween dinner for Copper's first high school Sadie's dance.  They picked a baked potato bar with fruit and cookies. Look at this: This is not my house.  It's my sister's. She has this amazing gift of hosting and a vision for all things. And she's a photographer on top of it, so her pictures are magazine worthy. This was for my niece.  I did the best I could for Copper,  hahaha. Copper looks so grown up!  She had an eye infection, so her right eye's a bit wonky but still beautiful!  Can you tell what Disney character she dressed up as? Neither could we.  Here's how our conversation went: Me: "Copper, it's Sadie's and the theme is about Disney or Hollywood duos... what are you two going to be?" Copper: "I'm looking for a purple shirt because I'm being Rapunzel." Megan (her friend): "I think I might be Stitch or Mickey Mouse." Me: "Okay, what about the boys?  For Sadie's, usually the girl

Pumpkins

Last week we went to Evan's Family Farm in Lehi on a whim and found some cute pumpkins. These three decided to carve a few of them, which was a little too early but I think they had a good time.  This morning we went on the Heber Valley train for their pumpkin event. Had I known that the night time train was haunted, I would have bought tickets for that. Instead I got morning tickets, and I think it was intended for much younger kids. But they drove us through pretty Heber, played Halloween music, told pretty ridiculous Halloween jokes, and tried to make it fun for everyone. We all got to bring home a pumpkin too.  I don't think the kids loved it...  By the end of the 30 minute train ride...
