We had so much fun celebrating Christmas with our little guy! I know the holidays are just going to get more fun the older he gets and I can't wait! He had lots of fun, in spite of being sick! He was spoiled, but he deserves it. Trent and I were spoiled too.
Family Pictures
We went out to Daybreak a few weeks ago for family pictures. I love how they turned out! I can't decide which one is the best for the wall. But, one thing is for sure, I love my family!
6 Months
Happy half birthday to our handsome little dude! We love having you in our family. I can't believe it has been six months since I met you! You melted my heart then, and you still do now! You are a little cuddle bug still. You have always been cuddly, and it has never gone away, you love to cuddle to fall asleep and when I go in your room to pick you up from a nap. You still like to be swaddled for sleep, and you still sleep in your swing. We are working on the transition to the crib, but you sleep so well now it is hard to make a change! You have been sleeping for 9-10 hours at night, which is amazing, and your mama loves you for it! You aren't the best at napping, its a struggle to get you settled down, and then you only want to sleep for about 40 minutes usually, but you have nights down, so I won't complain! You will almost always calm down if I sing You are My Sunshine or I love to see the Temple to you. We gave you rice cereal this week and you hated it, I let you put your hand in it before you tried it on the spoon and just having your hand in it made you gag. We will be trying something else very soon. I can't blame you, I wouldn't eat rice cereal either! This week you started a sweet thing, as you are falling asleep you rub your hand on my shirt , your jammies, or your blanket. I think it helps you soothe into sleep, and its so cute when you fall asleep holding onto my sleeve. I love you to pieces baby!
This one cracks me up, he was watching the tv all relaxed like such a guy! I got the camera and turned around and this is what he was doing!
Now he sees me!
So cute!

Garden After Dark
We took Ashton(aka Mr. Penguin) to the Garden After Dark at Red Butte Gardens. It was so much fun. I think we will make it a tradition for our family every Halloween. They had so much fun stuff and it seemed to be geared heavily toward younger children, can't wait til Ashton actually enjoys it!
*Also the same day I cut my hair, and Ashton cried and cried for the first 30 minutes when he saw me, until I fed him- then I guess he figured out who I was and that I wasn't so bad after all!

5 months
In your fifth month you started rolling over to the left. You also starting sitting up on your own for a few seconds. You discovered that you can jump in your jumperoo and it makes you really excited to jump up and down. You get really excited when you see mom or dad come in the room. You also get really upset if you think you are in the room all alone. You discovered your feet and love to suck on them all the time, especially when mom and dad try to change your diaper. You laugh and smile like crazy and I love it! You are really interested in everything that mom and dad use- our phones, computer, ipad, waterbottle, and camera especially and when we give them to you all you do is put them in your mouth- but watchout because if we take them away you scream at us until we distract you. You definitely found your voice, you squeal and scream a really high pitched scream all day long. You don't do it when you're mad though, its just how you talk all day long. It gives me a headache, I can't wait until you use words instead. :) You are so much fun! You still love books and will sit on my lap and let me read a whole story or more to you!
