Grateful Sunday

This is her "fancy" pose.
Today I am grateful:

that it is warming up.  Oh how my soul has needed this.

for a fantastic realtor.  I seriously love her.  It's so comforting to feel that you are in good hands - house goes on the market Tuesday!

for a clean house.  Although stressful it has been so nice to have the house so consistently tidy - I love the peace of a clean home!

for puzzles.  I don't know why it's taken me so long to find my niche with puzzles but I am obsessed.  I'm a 300 piece puzzle of an actual piece of art kinda' girl.

for Brandt.  He's been so helpful in helping us get everything ready to sell.  We literally couldn't have done it without him.

that church was cancelled last week.  Swedish pancakes, shoveling and playing in the snow together and then snuggling in with hot chocolate.  It was a wonderful Sunday!

that I have a little girl.  I have really been enjoying Maggie's girl-ness lately.  She so fully embraces being a girl and loves it.  And I love that she's joined in the melee of tickling Daddy with her brothers as a type this.

for Murder, She Wrote.  I love it!  Angela Lansbury is the best.  Also I hadn't realized how progressive it is for the time.  It's fabulous!

to have been married to Lincoln for 14 years this week.  My goodness, I love that man.

Grateful Sunday

Godzilla, himself

Today I am grateful:

that, while listening to NPR in the car, a piece came on about how the human brain differs from that of other animals.  Scott turned the volume up.

for friends who have had us over for dinner or brought us dinner while Lincoln has been traveling - it's made a big difference.  I've needed their help.

for Alan Bradley.  I love his character, Flavia de Luce.  She is one of a kind.  I'm grateful for a good book to fall into at the end of the day.

that Isaac is now going somewhere one morning a week.  I love that boy, but once in a while I need a break from Godzilla.

for my calling.  I love being in Young Womens, especially with the Mia Maids.  Those girls are such an inspiration to me and I love seeing their budding testimonies grow and strengthen.

for indexing.  It's my go-to service activity when I need a quick pick-me-up.  Fabulous.

for the Browne's.  Who let Maggie sit with them during Sacrament Meeting today - it was so much easier to manage Isaac on my own without having to worry about the Mags too.

for my family of origin.  I gain such comfort knowing that I always belong somewhere.  I belong to a giant bundle of love, compassion, support, encouragement and Pulsipher humor.  It is awesome.

for falling snow.  This post-Christmas winter has been a rough one for me emotionally, but when it snows I soak in the quiet calm and peace of the falling snow.  It fills my soul.

the peace of knowing we have received guidance from the spirit and are willing and able to follow it.  Getting our home ready to sell is such a huge project, but I find such strength and courage in knowing this is what is right for our family.

Grateful Sunday

Today I am grateful for:

an awesome at Time Out for Women last weekend.  I met up with Anne there and it was just what I needed.  A weekend of personal revelation!

for a fun weekend this weekend.  After a fun surprise party for a close friend we came home, made a fire and Lincoln slept in a tent with the kids in the backyard.  Good times!

for direct answers to prayer.  Even when it's not what you were hoping for, it's always good to know that you have your answer.

for my kids.  They're just so much fun to be around.  And yet, they also make me so mad sometimes.  Weird.

for my calling.  I really love working with the Young Women, and I love my Mia Maids!

Grateful Sunday

Life is good.

So good.

The weather is amazing.  Truly amazing.

I love all the daffodils.

We finally got some comfortable and usable furniture in the screened in porch.  I could live out there all day long.

My niece, Sarah, came for a visit.  We had a great time exploring Chicago - Robie HouseSecond City, Millennium Park,  Art Institute of Chicago.

I've had a few different girls night out, that have been super fun and much needed.

Anne & Company came for a visit for their Spring Break.

We all survived Spring Break and actually had a great time this week.

Maggie walks around the house belting out songs from "Frozen" - although I don't really like the movie I love to hear her sing.

Isaac is adorable and such a kind and sweet boy.

Had a great date with Lincoln last night where we finally did the Carmel Gallery Walk.

General Conference was fantastic - as usual.

Life really is just so good, I'm so grateful for this time.

Happy Sunday!

I Am Resolved

Last week for Young Women's we had a great activity about setting goals for this year. We made these adorable buntings to hang up to remind and motivate us.

I hadn't really thought about goals for this year, so it was a good opportunity to sit down and think about what I want to focus on. This is what I came up with.

1.  Bring the Spirit into our home more.

2.  Stop yelling.

3. Honor my body.

I feel really good about these three things to focus on.

So we're off....

Aaaand we're back...

This is how my daily shower goes.

I turn on the water.

I get in and start washing my face.

Isaac wanders into the bathroom (still in his footed pajamas).

He stands as close as possible to the shower.

I try to find some way to distract him.

I rinse my hair.

When I look back down he is standing behind me in the shower.

I surrender, pull off his footed pajamas and let him stay in there in his onesie.

Someday I'll be able to take a shower by myself, right?

Adult v. Child

I was cleaning out Luke's school folder when I found this.

I've been laughing about it all morning.
