caroline turns 9!!

My dearest Caroline,

Where do I begin? How are you getting so big and almost 2 full hands! I cannot believe it. Time needs to slow down because it is going by way too fast! You are so beautiful and creative. I love your heart. I love your smile. I love the little girl that you have become and are starting to be. I am so proud of you and your hard work. I know God has great plans for your life. I love how your mind works, you can fix or alter anything. You always find a solution to a problem and I love that. If I am too lazy to try and figure something out, you come up with a resolution! You have come up with some pretty awesomely, creative, inventive things! You are doing awesome in 3rd grade. You get your work done, your studious like your daddy and get your work done before play. You are a smart cookie! You love to be outside and explore. You love adventure and fun! 

We had a cousin party again where yall just played, explored, and had a fun time like usual. I made a Caroline cake with 9 candles and made special memories. Keep up the good work sweet heart. You are such a joy to be around. I love to see you play and read to your sisters. I love when you help me. I love your cheerful heart. i love you. I thank God every day for you and I pray every day for your life. It is in God's hands.

thank you Lord for the gift of watching the sun come up on one side of our backyard and watching it set on the other side. it is so beautiful and i am so grateful for this porch and for this view!

julia turns the big 5

My dearest Julia,

Happy 5th birthday sweet muffin. You and your whole hand (and bent thumb.) I love you so much sweet pea. You are such a gift from God I praise Him every day for you and your life. I love your smile and your laugh. I love how you love people. I love how you love to write things and draw pretty pictures and trace things and create things. You are in the Pre-K 5's at school (I am just a year behind on posting this :) You love school you love your friends and you love being around people. You can make a friend anywhere you go. It melts my heart. You are so full of life and bring your daddy and I so much joy. Thank you for being you. I am so thankful God created you just the way you are. You work hard, you have fun, and you have a cheerful heart. You love Jesus, you love to pray, you love to sing and worship. I love to hear you sing and i love the fact that you know all the words to most of the christian music songs! :)

You got a singing doggie for your birthday, and anna kate got you a stuffed horse. Caroline made you some homemade bracelets and things out of yard. Mimi made you a unicorn costume since you wanted to be that for halloween. So fun! We also had a little party with some family and friends, decorating pumpkins, and eating sprinkled cupcakes. It was such a fun fall party.

I love you so much. Birthdays are special because I get to celebrate a most wonderful gift God gave me on October 18, which was YOU!!

and i forgot to mention the memory of your scooter accident, the last photo in this post. i thought it was right before your birthday. you were riding the scooter and the handlebars twisted on you and your face fell on the side of the medal handlebar, which the padding had come off, and you had this big circle on your left cheek. it took forever, i mean months and months, to heal, and now you have a dimple where that scar was. you didn't have one before! so it was such a bad accident and basically left a scar almost but there is a dimple there instead. we love that scooter dimple!!!!
