date with big girls
with 4 kids, me and daddy don't get much time just to ourselves, we usually have big girls or little girls at random times. we had the big girls one night and took them to eat where they cooked in front of us. they have been wanting to go to the skating rink but we made a trip to sports academy instead and got some new rollerblades. it was a little challenging starting out but they have gotten use to them alright! fun times.

i got to go on a field trip with you and your class. i had so much fun. i got to see how you are with your friends. you are so full of energy and love. i adore your big smile and big heart. as we sat and ate lunch with the rest of the group, you got up and started running around with the boys in the room kind of yelling and running and being wild. i couldn't believe it! i told the other moms my first two little girls would have never thought to do that, but julia, my #3, you are our social butterfly! you love your friends and teachers and love school all around. your personality is contagious. i am so thankful God blessed me and daddy with you in 2011. it was a difficult pregnancy and delivery, but oh how God knew the plan and watched out for you and me the whole time. i am so grateful for that. you love to laugh you love to be loud you love to help your little sister and you want to be just like your big sisters! you are so special!
you love to read and look at books. you love to play house with hannah. you love to ride your bike and draw pictures and especially write in your special journal. i love your notes your letters you write and love the people you draw. it melts my heart. you love going to mimi and grannas house. you love to wear dresses and tutus. you like to have a bow or headband in your hair. you like accessories and bling!

my little annie. i love you so much sweet pea. your smile brings me so much joy. you are my skips with sunshine. i adore how you skip places. it makes me so happy, i wish i skipped more often and had a smile on my face. thank you for your cheerful singing heart. i am so thankful God gave me you. i got to take you on a lunch date and we went to mcalisters, your pick, your favorite. just like caroline. :) baked potato for you. you did a little shopping with mommy, more of something you like to do. we got lucky and found the bunk bed quilts at tjmaxx! :) i love when you are helpful and ready to help in any way you can. i love your letters.

READ - i think you have read about every book in our "library" - you have read all the little house books, boxcar books, ramona, famous childhood americans, lois lenski books, nancy clancy, my old american girl books
you will snuggle up and read all day, that really is what most of your day consists of - keep it up! you learn so much from books
you also love to write notes and letters and cards to people
you make amazing pictures i adore your art
i hope we can carve out more one on one time because i enjoy it so much. you are so special to me and i love you so very much!

what can i say? you are my little baby. i am not sure how you grew up to 2.5 years old already. i adore your pigtails and curls. your voice and smile reel me in no matter what i am doing. you are our little firecracker, full of energy and nonstop fun. you are a bit sneaky and still do things you know your not supposed to do. but you do say "sorry mama" and cover your face with both hands with a little grin. you want to be just like the big girls. you don't want to be left you. you are a mommy's girl but i don't blame you because you have been by my side since you were born. hardly ever been left. so it is still hard for me to even be away from you when you spend the night at mimi's. i miss your snuggles and your hugs and your talking. it is hilarious and i want to bottle it up. you love to look at books and play with the pegs. your favorite is probably play doh. you love to ride your bike outside and run free. i love to hear you pray and thank God for all of your family. i love hearing you say "mommy where are you" as you wait for me to come rescue from your crib. you love for "mommy put me bed". you love to color and make a mess with anything. you love your blankie and toting things around all day. you are very independent. i just adore you. little did i know God was going to bless us with another little girl almost 3 years ago. my heart could not be any more full. i feel so loved and i am grateful to God he has given me the opportunity to raise you girls. hannah you are joy. you are my sunshine. you are my bright light each day. i love you more than you know. and you will always be my baby.

i love you so much. i got to take you on a little date. i wish it happened more often, but you know how things are....busy as usual. it is hard to get away just me and you. but i had so much fun. we went to mcalisters for lunch, your pick, your favorite. then we went to baskin robbins for a little ice cream treat and then headed on to the park for a quick climbing adventure. you love the monkey bars! and you are so strong and so good at them! caroline, i am so proud of you. i am proud of who you are, the little girl God created you to be. he has a wonderful and perfect plan for your life. you are so driven, so motivated, so hard working. i know it will get you far in life. always work hard at whatever you do. you are just like your daddy!!

i am so extremely proud of you darling. you are my joy, you bring so much sunshine to my life and i love you more than anything. i want to savor these days. these days of you being 7 and 8 and growing up so fast. you are moving along a little faster than i would like. i can't believe you are in 2nd grade. you are such a good leader, responsible, and know how to keep things in order. thank you.

last minute beach trip
in the midst of building "the new house" this past year we had little time leftover to squeeze in fun activities. we had never gone to the beach in august, but we decided to go the first week everyone was in school and hit the road. we literally decided to go the day before so mama was packing away like crazy and got it all together. we headed out and retired mimi had nothing to do so she went with us! we love having mimi's help at the beach. we crammed in the car and hit the road. the girls did great, the big girls read lots of books, and hannah talked about getting out of her seat a lot. :)
you can see hannah running around in the car or sitting on mimi's lap a few times to stretch her legs. little stinker. we stayed in a new place that was right on the beach and awesome. not many stairs had a screen porch and i could even send julia down to the beach by herself. it was prime!
daddy rented a yolo board the last day, which we had never done before. the girls had a blast rowing on the board out pretty far and saw the hundreds of jellyfish down below. thank you God nobody fell in! daddy also decided to run mama "out to the dark blue" which was really far out and made me feel a bit uncomfortable since i dont consider myself a great swimmer, but the main thing was what if a shark swam by.. it was beautiful and lots of fun. it was pretty fun to stand and try and row the yolo board. quite the experience! ha. the girls had a blast.
this is hannah the first morning in our bed ...early...due to the skylights above in the master and the thin paper blinds over the sliding doors. thankfully after that there was room in the closet for her and her pack n play :)
