we spent a lot of weekends up at the lake at the beginning of summer. it is a nice little get away for the weekend and we always have a blast with the kids. it is so nice enjoying the peacefulness on the porch and just getting away for awhile. the girls love the water, love riding in the ranger, love to do some fishing with daddy and love driving the boat! we always have a fun time
i think anna kate is like her mommy, she pushes the pedal to the medal! she likes to go fast!
the lake is good at wearing kids out!
funny story:
we usually would go up friday night and stay the weekend. well justin had anchored the boat down in the cove by his parents house that night. the next morning we got up and my mom said, "i think our boat floated away...." i was thinking, naaaah, can't be. well of course this is like 7 or 7:30 in the morning so nobody is out there and with binoculars, it sure did look like an empty boat...our boat. so justin saved the day, he hiked down the hill, got in the kayak, and rowed his way to the boat, then hauled the kayak back in. we were quite entertained on the porch :) hehee

granna made up a nice big soft area for julia, even though she did always find her way out and over the pillows :)
and after daddy got back from his excursion, he took the girls on the ranger and they picked lots of yummy blackberries. they were good ones!

uncle joel, aunt joanna, natalie, and kennedy were able to come up one weekend for the night. it was natalie and kennedy's first time out on the lake and on the boat. they had a blast and they had fun driving the boat as well with uncle justin!
