my sweet annie turned 3 on march 31. she woke up to purple balloons and streamers, the big special birthday plate, and #3 pancakes. :) she was SO excited for her birthday. i now have 2 big babies, i can't believe it.
caroline was so proud of her birthday picture and envelope and wanted her to open it asap. anna kate kept saying, "ooooo i love it sissy, it's bootiful!"
she loved her new bible from mommy and daddy (i still have my precious moments bible my parent's gave me :)
we had a family "purple party" on sunday, april 1st at our house. it was a beautiful day for celebrating!

my dear annie,
happy 3rd birthday to you! you are such a bright light in our lives and daddy and i are so blessed to have you as our baby girl #2. What joy you bring to our family with your sweet smile and precious little voice from heaven. we are so blessed!
here are a some things that i love about you:
1. i love the way that you talk in your sweet little voice
2. i love the way that you love me and take care of me - anytime i may bump into something or get sad, you always run over and pat my back or kiss my boo boo and say, "it's ok mommy it's ok, i will take care of you" - it makes all things better :)
3. i love to watch you color your millions of pictures - you are a gifted little colorer (?) - you were coloring well in the lines a way long time ago i can't even remember. you work so hard and spend so much time coloring different colors making sure to make it just right. it is priceless and i love it. i feel so special when you run in so excited to give me a picture you have worked so hard on.
4. i love your heart to read - you love love love books and can spend hours sitting reading books to your babies or just by yourself. you tell the stories so well and love cuddling up on the couch with mommy with a huge pile of books :)
5. i love your spunk! you have got it girl! your sassy little attitude and cute little arguments with your daddy when he tells you "your the man anna kate" and you say "i'm not the man! i'm anna kate/i'm the princess/i'm bougaress", etc -it changes with time :) oh you love to argue and disagree, but it is still in an oh so cute kind of a way.................most of the time! let's just say that you speak your mind very openly :)
6. i love to watch you use your imagination while you play and engage in different activities - whether it be dressing up and putting on a princess show where you lug all the chairs in one room and throw a blanket up and put on a show with music, or it be cooking up something in the kitchen and taking your party to the floor on your blankie with all your stuffed friends and dishes, or cutting out hundreds of little papers and gluing them on different papers and asking for an "endalope" to put them in and then sealing it shut with another 50 stickers, or just watching you search on the high shelf for books and sit in the comfy chair and just read stories to your baby
7. i love the constant humor and entertainment you bring to our family - you are a little ham anna kate!! it is hilarious
8. i love that you love Jesus with all of your heart and you thank him for so many things and often times will say the longest prayers ever, just like momma tends to do :)
9. i love how fast you took on the role as being a big sister and how good at it you were! you have never seemed jealous and your heart just wants to take care of "baby jew-lee-uh" and make sure she is ok and taken care of. i am so proud of you.
10. oh, and i love the way you crave those sweets, just like your momma -
you love you some "I-CREAM!"
11. i love that you love to snuggle -you have always been my snuggle bug, since the day you were born. you love to be held and a lot of times now even when you wake up at naps, you need a little TLC before you get up. you are a little night owl and love to stay up late jabbering away in your bed or singing, while caroline usually goes right off to sleep through all the jibber jabbers :)
oh anna kate, you are such a joy and i hope that one day you can sit and read this and smile just the way that i am now as your proud mommy. daddy and i love you more than you will ever know!
i am so blessed and i am immensely overwhelmed with God's goodness on me and my family.
