my sweet little baby is already half a year old! 6 months old - the time is flying by.
my precious julia,
you are PURE JOY. i am so blessed that God gave you to me and daddy and caroline and anna kate. you are the sweetest baby and everyone always talks about how happy you are and how they have never seen you cry. :) you are such an easy baby. you love to be held, you smile and giggle at us all the time, and you just bring so much joy and love to our family. you are a wonderful sleeper at night and you are usually ready for bed by 6:30 and will sleep until 7 in the mornings. your naps are still a little inconsistent but it won't be long before you are taking just 2 naps a day like a big girl! you are a little rolling machine and you love to be held as well. you are pretty close to sitting up and i have already seen you try and scoot to get things in your playpen. it won't be long before i will be following you around the house while you are crawling! i PRAISE GOD so much during the day for you, your sweet, cuddly, happy little self. i pray for you every day and thank God for your health and happiness, for you are such a sweet blessing from our Father above. i savor every little snuggle i get every time i pick you up during the day. oh it just melts my heart every time you bury your sweet head in my shoulder. i would hold you all day long if i could! i am the most blessed momma. thank you Jesus for this precious gift, for you deserve all the glory and praise!!

she is such a love. i am so thankful for this tiny little blessing God has given me.
bless sweet little julia's heart, she wears "anna kate" bibs all around the house (hence the anna kate burp cloth she is lying on) and uses a combination of caroline and anna kate burp cloths. :) don't worry, i don't send her out in public with the wrong name or monogram :) i can't help it, she spits up ....alot....which i need all the extra bibs i can find!! my other girls never spit up that much so i am not use to the projectile spit up over my shoulder or down my leg from time to time. so we go through probably 15 bibs a day and i usually get spit up on at least once or twice a day so needless to say, we have a lot of laundry!! it is not uncommon for me to be wearing shirts and/or pants that smell like spit up or have stains from it or little baby snot dried on the sleeve or just wet from baby drool. wouldn't change it for the world though :) my blue fleece i wear all the time i end up having to wash almost every day. it is amazing how such a tiny sweet little baby can accumulate the most laundry of anyone in the fam. :) she is so precious. thank you mimi for stocking us up on some "julia" bibs and burp cloths. all the names come in handy ....and get good use :) heehee

here are a few favorite things that you are doing now:
1. i LOVE it when i go in your room in the mornings to get you up. i turn off the sound machine and open the blinds and it never fails, you are always lying there with a huge smile kicking those legs so hard so excited to see me. you are usually on your tummy so you will pop that head up and kicks those legs...oh it is the best!!
2. when you wake up from a nap or are trying to go to sleep, i love peeking in your room and seeing your little head looking around when you are on your belly. all i can seee is your little head looking around over the bumper and it is so cute
3. i love the way you bury your head in my shoulder
4. i love listening to you laugh and giggle so loud when the girls are making you laugh, especially caroline, she does some funny things to get you to laugh
5. i love to watch you turn your head into daddy and try nursing on him when he holds you in the cradle hold :) heehee
6. i love your little kicking legs, you are a kicker and bouncer!
7. i love that you love to be held
8. i love how i can lay you down in your bed and you will just go to sleep on your own
9. i love to see you stick that lil thumb in your mouth when i lay you down and if you put it in while you are on my shoulder the rest of your 4 fingers are sticking straight up....so stinkin cute
i can now see why mom's keep having babies...just like i can pick julia up and she will be so happy and snuggle on me. there is something about having a snuggly baby when your other kids may not be listening so well or arguing with each other. there is a sense of peace or something with a baby. i don't know, it is weird. maybe a big part of it is because julia is so happy, so easy, so laid back, and so snuggly. i guess i am just BLESSED. thank you GOD for my laid back baby!!
i feel so relaxed with julia, but at the same time i am still finding tricks as to how to manage 3. like during the dinner hour when julia likes to be held the last hour before bed generally, and managing all 3 during bath time and trying to dry hair and keeping julia happy at the same time, trying to do all kinds of things using only 1 hand while i hold julia in the other. it is a circus sometimes, but i love our little circus. i have let go of a clean house. it is NOT possible to have with 3 kids. which i am ok with. it definitely doesn't mean that i don't get overwhelmed by it most days. as long as i know we won't be having any visitors at our house besides mimi and granna, i will keep it the way it is....cluttered. :) just like the girls have decided to have a picnic in the family room and have lugged all their chairs, blankets, baby chairs and tables, dolls, food, books, doctor set,and tools and have taken up so much room you can hardly walk through the room. it makes me smile :) thank you Lord for the clutter! i am blessed to have so much clutter in my life! thank you for the health and happiness of my 3 beautiful girls. thank you for protecting them. thank you for holding their lives in the palm of your hand. thank you for the gifts they are to me and justin. you are so good!
