trick or treatin
we ventured out on halloween and had a fun time with the cousins. the girls were excited about their costumes and had a blast going door to door getting some goodies! sweet baby julia stayed in the car with me as we drove and followed the crew. she was a trooper!
the orange crayon (daddy jokes sometimes about how caroline has somewhat of a british accent with the way she pronounces things sometimes :) - it was a little funny to hear her say orange crayon :)
and if you didn't know already - ORANGE is her most favorite color and she is a very creative little thing

livin the life with 3 sisters
We are enjoying our time at home and busy as you can imagine. I could multi task before, but now....it is super multi tasking! I think it was the first day I was home, I was nursing Julia and Anna Kate had to go to the bathroom so I found it awfully funny and quite interesting literally nursing one child while wiping another one's behind and also yelling to Caroline trying to answer some question she had at the same time. :) I was thinking to myself, this is going to take some time getting use to!! :) It has been busy and fun! I feel overwhelmed with thankfulness and gratefulness to God. I am so blessed with 3 healthy and beautiful girls! God you are so good! I give you all the praise for your overflow of blessings in my life!
I am already so behind on the blog, just in 2 months time. This post has been in production for over a month. It has been an extremely busy 2 months! Julia has already been to 6 birthday parties, a halloween party as a lil ladybug, lots of church, 3 christmas parties, 1 preschool christmas program, several Target and grocery trips, and most of all, a lot of time homebound. November and December are by far the busiest months for us with family birthdays and the holidays.
We are and have been in full force and decoration for christmas, however, we have yet to remove the somewhat rotting pumpkins off our front porch! It is just 3 days until christmas and the pumpkins are still sitting there on the front steps, almost 3 months later. Is that kind of like keeping christmas decorations up until March, but it is pumpkins? :) Oh well. One of things I laugh at every time we pull up and could really care less about. I bet you or any kids won't find any pumpkin spottings around town like at our house. If your kids are like mine, they spot pumpkins like they spot christmas lights and reindeer. They get so excited in the car anytime we see christmas lights, a santa, a cow or horse, a fire truck. I wish I got that excited about seeing big ornaments hanging from trees. :) The girls still will randomly wave and talk to the pumpkins and I always think, we have got to get rid of those. haha....That has been on the "list" of things to do for months now, well, inform my husband to do. :) And I know he would do it if I told him to, but I just never think about it until odd times like right now.
Anywho...I will get caught up with our busy life one day!
Here are some pictures from the first few weeks. Here is one of Julia sleeping in the boppy.
lovin it

i am so in love. it is such a relief as a mom when you welcome your bundle of joy to the world. all the sickness, all the added weight, the growing belly, the quirks of strange things that happen to your body when your pregnant, the night waking, the worrisome thoughts, the labor and delivery.....all worth the most precious gift. i can't help but cry in praise to God for healthy happy kids. What precious gifts I have received.
Julia was in her crib watching her little mobile and the girls have learned to drag the step stools to wherever she is to see her. The next thing I know Caroline is yelling....."Anna Kate is in the crib!!" I think I was trying to get myself dressed at the moment, which never lasts long. Anna Kate was in the crib with her and of course the responsible Caroline is saying, "I wanna get in I wanna get in!" (asking first). They thought this was a blast! Poor little Julia, someone is always right in her face :) She is always entertained as you can imagine.
The first day that Caroline was in school and Anna Kate wasn't, it was so sweet to watch Anna Kate with Julia. Julia was lying on the play mat and Anna Kate was singing to her and talking to her.
In this one she was saying, "look at me baby 'juwah,' I'm your big sister" -Oh it just melted my heart
standing on the stool singing to her sissy
Caroline was doing the same thing, singing to her and talking about being her big sister
I was telling her to be careful in this picture, ya know, not to smash her and she said "mommy.....I am snuggling with her!"
sweet little face
My little Anna Kate looked so big and grown up when we got home from the hospital, I couldn't believe it ( she looks huge compared to lil sissy)
This was day 2 of being home. I had just fed Julia and she had been a little gassy I think because she had not poo pooed since we left the hospital. Caroline had just said a little prayer in this picture for her to poo poo in her diaper. Literally within 10 min., she pooped! We were so excited and I told Caroline that was a super quick answer to her prayer! I think the main 2 times to get super excited about poop is when they are little newborns and when they poop in the potty for the first time :)
This was day 2 as well I think. I had them all up for breakfast and it was busy. The girls are so in love with her. It is the most precious thing. They have been so good with her, singing to her and making sure she is ok and well entertained. :)
and this was the day before I had her I think. The girls were kissing my huge belly and giving "baby sissy" hugs. wow, was that belly really mine?! :)

mimi and julia
julia's blood sugar was a little low right after she was born so after nursing a few times, it still had not gone up to where they wanted it, so she had to have about an ounce of formula which brought it up and kept it up so after that it was not a concern. the girls were there when this was all happening so daddy got to feed her for the first time and the girls jumped right in to help of course. :)

granna and julia
granna kept the girls while we were in the hospital and took them to and from school and the hospital. she was such a big help! thanks granna!! we are so thankful for you!

love these pictures of caroline and julia

especially this one :)
they have had a lot of practice with their baby dolls, and changing their diapers and clothes, feeding them, having picnics and tea parties and rocking and singing to them, strolling them ...they are pros when it comes to babies :)

oh my sweet anna kate, seeing you as a big sister for the first time melted my heart. you were so gentle with baby julia and loved singing to her. i think you were a little unsure when you first walked in the hospital room, not knowing exactly what was going on, but your tender heart went right up to her and patted her so gently. i know you will be a wonderful big sis and will also be my big helper making sure baby julia is a-ok. :) you will always be my baby, my sunshine!
