Iris

Happy Tuesday!
It`s a little bit brighter today than yesterday. I don`t think I saw daylight yesterday and couldn`t wait for evening to come so I could close the curtains and put the light on. Yuk! I hate days like that..,

Today I`ve used another of my Artkure stamps, Siberian Iris.
I`ve had this stamp for a few months now but haven`t used it before. I`ve shown two pics of it as neither of them are very good on their own.
I used navy blue base card and matted some white card on top. The DP is by Kameo cards. I embossed some white card with the cuttlebug Swiss dots folder and cut it into a strip then added some navy blue ribbon. I attached a border along the bottom using my Spellbinders borderbilities classic lace in navy I stamped the image in black and coloured with Marvy brush markers and mounted this onto the card slighly off centre. I finished off with some blue gem stones and a huge bow.

Clean and simple

Happy Monday All!

As promised a card that hasn`t got a Flourishes stamp on, lol.

I`ve kept this one as plain and simple as I can. A bit like me really lol.
The stamp is from a mandala set from Graphicus, Tulips, and it`s a lovely size for smaller cards. I usually do 5x5 cards but for a change I thought I`d an A6.
I stamped and embossed in black ink and coloured and blended with Marvy brush pens again.
The background is Cuttlebug Swiss dots finished off with Martha Stewarts Doily punch.
I`ve added a bit of ribbon and a small bow to finish.

Small sweetpeas

Good morning and a happy sunday to you all.
I just can`t get enough of these stamps from flourishes but I do realise that you might be getting a bit bored of them by now so I think I`ll make this my last one for a while.

I stamped and embossed in black this time. I like to emboss when I can as it gives you a definate point for colouring. I coloured with marvy brush markers again.
The image is cut out with my oval nesties and mountes onto a background embossed with cuttlebugs swiss dots.
I added a lacey edge from spellbinders and some ribbon and finished it off with some flat backed pearls.
The sentiment is by Papertrey and cut out with spellbinders labels 4 die.

Blue gerbera

I know... I know, I have been a naughty blogger just lately and haven`t been posting much. But, I have been busy crafting and have lots of cards to post now so hopefully I be able to post daily for a while. I have also been keeping up with all my blog pals and looking at some of the beautiful designs you have on your blogs.
The photograph isn`t very good. I`m sorry I really will have to sort out the lighting on my light box. A bit more practice methinks.
This card is another gerbera one. The beauty of gerberas is that you are not limited to colour so can go with any paper or ribbon or any other embellishment you`ve already got in your stash box. Apart from that I love `em.
I coloured this one with marvy brush markers and cut the circle with my nesties.
The DP is from my stash box and I have scored the background.
I added some ribbon to match the blue and a small bow.
The sentiment is from my new Papertrey stampset. I finished off the DP with a scalloped edge from my Martha Stewart punch.

Monochrome

Happy Monday all!

It`s my middle brothers birthday on the 17th so I made this quick and easy card for him. I love black and white together on a card and think it`s quite masculine with out being dowdy.
The DP is Dovecraft
The stamp is Inkadinkado
Sentiment is from a set by the Stampman.

This was the view from our back bedroom window on friday afternoon. We got 3 inches of snow in 1 hour and although it looks gorgeous it caused havoc on the roads. The whole city came to a standstill.
Thank goodness I was nice and cosy at home lol. It`s a bit warmer today. Most of the snow has gone and would you believe, it`s raining. Still, mustn`t grumble..

Small Gerbera

This is, I think, my favourite card yet. You know when you make a card and sometimes you think, " yea thats ok". Well I make alot of those.I`m my own worse critic and always think I could have done better.
This card however, I`m really pleased with.
The dp is Joanna Sheen gingham and I`ve edged it with a tiny piece of bright pink along the bottom.
The stamp is the smaller version of the Gerbera daisy from Flourishes, stamped and embossed in gold again. I`ve coloured the image in the brightest pink brush marker I could find. My new borderbilities came out again and I finished off with some white flat backed pearls.
Got to go now, my fingers are starting to get numb lol.

My other new stamp

This is the other stamp from Flourishes that Santa brought me, (courtesy of no1 son)
This is the sweet pea stamp and I stamped and embossed in detail gold embossing powder onto watercolour paper. Then coloured using watercolour paints.
The DP is from Papermania and I finished off with my new borderbilities from Spellbinders which my youngest daughter got me for Christmas.
I love these stamps from Flourishes. They stamp up beautifully and are a really good size and include a smaller version too. I`m even quite pleased with my painting which is a one off for me as I`m not at all artistic.
Well it`s snowing up here in East Yorkshire and we`re expecting a lot more of the stuff.  My computer is in the loft and although it`s well insulated there is no heating up here, I just rely on the heat from the house rising. I can honestly say that today....it`s freezing! If it gets any colder I`ll have to put a coat on. And gloves lol
Thanks for popping in , enjoy the rest of your sunday ...Lynne xxx
