Okay, So I'm A Little Behind....

I was fairly consistent in posting weekly stitching updates until I fell off the blogging bandwagon about a month ago......

So I've decided to change my weekly stitching updates to a monthly update.  Here is what I've accomplished in the past month.

Finished one Christmas ornament:  LizzieKate "Christmas Love" pattern from Just CrossStitch Annual Ornament issue.

Started a new Christmas ornament by Glory Bee Designs from the 2010 Just CrossStitch Annual Ornament issue.
Stitching on 32 count platinum linen using overdyed threads.

And I made some progress on the Plum Street Sampler "Harvest Delivery".  Hopefully my April stitching update post will show this as a completed project!

So until next month.....

Weekly Progress Report - Won't Be Long

I expect this ornament to be a "completed" project by the time I post my next weekly progress report.....

......and this larger piece (Plum Street Sampler's Harvest Delivery) is coming along just fine.  Hopefully by next week you'll be able to see exactly what is attached to the cart.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Earlier in the month I posted a photo of some Valentines that I had made.  As promised in that post, here are detailed photos of the cards.

Weekly Progress Report - What I'm Stitching

Here is a photo that shows my progress on the Plum Street Samplers 'Harvest Delivery' piece that I have been working on since the beginning of the year.  Unfortunately some of the stitching that I did on this during the week had to be ripped out due to me not paying attention to what I was doing (or where I was stitching).

I also started stitching a new Christmas ornament by Country Cottage Needleworks.  The pattern, Happy Holidays, can be found in the 2012 Just CrossStitch annual ornament issue.

Will You Be Mine?

Lookie what I've been working on yesterday and today......Valentines!

But wait!  Why are they partially hidden?  Because the recipient may be you and I want you to be surprised when you open your Valentine snail mail.  So.....will you be mine?  The first six people to comment on this blog or to leave me a Facebook comment will get one of these handmade Valentines.  (I'll email you if I need your mailing address.)

I'll show full photos of the Valentines in a future blog post.

Weekly Progress Report - 2 Completions and A WIP

What is a WIP you may be asking?  A WIP is something that I have a lot of......that would be "work in progress"!  I've been working on Plum Street Sampler's "Harvest Delivery" since the beginning of the year.  I got a little more accomplished on it last week.  Here's what it's looking like.......

But the big news are the two (yes, I said two) Christmas ornaments that I completed last week.  As I mentioned in a prior Weekly Progress Report, the actual "finishing", or making it into a hangable ornament, will be done later....I'll be sure to have a Finishing blog post at some point.

Here is Snow Birds by Country Cottage Needleworks.

Stitched on 32 count silver linen using DMC.

And Christmas Tree by The Prairie Schooler.  This one will end up being a triangle-shaped ornament.

Stitched on linen using DMC.

The patterns for the ornaments can be found in the 2013 Just CrossStitch Annual Ornament issue.
