Curvy Girl Loves Autumn

Hi there...

It's Bellarific Friday time again, and as it's the last one of the month, we're using images from the newest release.   I chose to use the gorgeous Curvy Girl Loves Autumn for my card, and did a bit of Distress Oxide blending for the background.

I coloured and fussy cut the image.  Believe it or not, I didn't look at the colours on the front of the package (I deliberately don't look!)...  I just chose autumnal colours that I thought would suit -  I couldn't believe it when I turned the package over and saw that I'd chosen pretty much the same as was on the package image!!

Slimline Shadow Box Cards

Hi There...

Today I'm sharing a couple of cards I made after being inspired by Jennifer McGuire's slimline shadow box tutorial.  I had to create it differently, as I don't have the dies she used, but I managed, by using a single square die 3 times, and elongating other rectangular dies, to create the slimline shape.

Now I've tried to show how the shadow box stands in the photos, but that's difficult.  The give a 3D effect, as the blue night sky is around an inch behind the coloured images.

For my first card I've used some images from a Birdie Brown set, with a little Rudolph and Sleigh from another set.  I had the Birdie Brown images from when she used to sell them digitally, before MFT sold them in stamp form, so I could resize them easily.

For my second card, I've used some snowmen from Sunny Studio Designs Feeling Frosty stamp set, colouring and fussy cutting them before adhering to the card.  I created some snowy banks for the snowmen to stand on.  The sentiment on both cards is from the Lawn Fawn Snowy Backdrops stamp set.

I created the blue snowy backgrounds by blending Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch Distress Inks onto a panel, then splattering with water to create the snow effect, before adhering to the back of the card.

Hope you like my makes today...  please say hello if you do..

Autumn Loves Autumn

Hi Lovelies...

For Bellarific Friday at Stamping Bella this week, we had a colour inspiration photo to use...

Now I know I favour pink as a rule... but I really REALLY did enjoy using these lusciously warm Autumnal colours...  and used one of my favourite Autumn Stamping Bella images... this is Autumn Loves Autumn from the Tiny Townies.

I created a Distress Oxide blended background, using Carved Pumpkin, Tea Die, Candied Apple and Ground Expresso - then I splattered it with my gold watercolour paint.  I think you can just about see that in my photos.  Then I coloured and fussy cut the image, before adhering it with 3D foam pads.  I also added the sentiment that comes with the image.

Card Info:

Die - MFT Stitched Rectangle

Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflakes

Hi Lovelies...

Another quickie (that ended up not so quick) today!  I wanted to create a card using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflakes around the edge, cut, so they created a type of frame.  I decided to go for glitter card - which is not ultra happy being diecut!  That's what took the time.... but the effect was worth it I think!

I used Distress Inks for my blue background - and stamped a sentiment using the Mama Elephant Scripty Christmas set, which I heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Hope you like...

Straight Up Rainbow

Hi Lovelies...

A quickie from me today using the gorgeous Straight Up Rainbow Die Set from MFT Stamps and Dies.

All I did was create a cloud background with Distress Inks and a cloud stencil... then cut the rainbow, cloud and face from the different coloured cardstock.
The Hugs word is also from an older MFT die.

Hope you like!

Cinderella will go to the ball!!

Hi Lovelies...

Today at Stamping Bella, we're highlighting images that aren't from the current release for Bellarific Friday..  and I chose this Oddball Cinderella who is just about to find her Prince Charming I think... as is the little mouse tucked in her pocket!

I coloured and fussy cut her, before creating a background using Distress Ink Tumbled Glass through a stencil.  I think my ink pad was a little on the juicy side, as the base of the squares has seeped a little bit.

Card Info:
Stencil - Taylored Expressions
Colouring - Copics
Skin - E000/01/70
Hair - C0/1/3/5
Dress - V22/25/17/04

Balloon Buddies...

Hi Lovelies...

Today I'm sharing some cards I made after being inspired by the lovely and super talented Tina at MyPop who kindly sent me a card with this design a couple of months back - it still sits on my window ledge now!

As I'd already purchased this set when it was released, I asked Tina's permission to CASE her card - and here are the results... I am not sure which little critter I like best...  so no favouritism here!

I created background panels by blending Distress Oxide inks and splattering with water..  then coloured and fussy cut the images.  Now the balloon in the set doesn't have the sections in on the stamp - so cleverly, Tina had used a black Copic friendly pen to divide into enough sections for rainbow colours..... isn't she clever??

Cards Info:
Images and Sentiment - Clearly Besotted Balloon Buddies
Distress Oxide Ink Pads
MFT Stitched Rectangle Die

Hope you like my makes today - they are perfect in these times to brighten someone's day!

Hugs...

Hi Lovelies..

I've been playing with some Paper Smooches images recently - they were one of the first companies I discovered when I first started card making, and have sadly, recently closed their doors.  The images are so clear to colour and quirky too, which I love.

This image is from the Sunnyville stamp set, and in today's world, speaks volumes in what we so want to do... HUG others!  I decided the image spoke for itself and so only put the sentiment inside the card.

Card Info:

Image - Paper Smooches Sunnyville Stamp Set

Background - MFT Falling Hearts Background Stamp, heat embossed with white embossing powder then blended with Distress Oxides in Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry

Die - MFT Square Stitched Scalloped Frame

Colouring - Copics

Sun - Y15/17/18/38   Cloud - N0/1/2

This is one of those cards I LOVED creating...  it made me smile all the time I was making it!  Hope you like it too.

Happy Sunday all..

It's Bellarific Friday again at Stamping Bella, and we're using images that aren't from the current release - so as it's October, I chose to use this little Bundle Girl in the Pumpkin Patch for my card.

Yes... More Stamping Bella Sneak Peeks!

Hey Lovelies...

It's Day 3 of the awesome sneak peeks from Stamping Bella - tomorrow is RELEASE DAY!

For my first card, I've used the gorgeous Bundle Girls Winter Friends...  they are such a cute pair!  I created a Distress Ink blended background which I splattered with water to create the falling snow.  I fussy cut the girls so I could adhere with foam pads.

Then for my next card, I used Glenda Loves Gifts..  with the sentiment that comes along with her.  I fussy cut her of course, and just added a strip of designer paper for her to lay on!

I used my white gel pen to give her dress a simple pattern.

And lastly, I've used Sloth Wreath - he looks sooooo cute clinging on to the wreath and having a little laze around!  I can never understand why they don't fall down once they're asleep in that position!

Hope you like my makes today and that you'll have your shopping list ready for tomorrow..... I can't wait to buy!

Pop on over to the Stamping Bella Blog to see more inspiration from the Baberoonies...  and to check out ALL the fabulous images in this release!!!

More Sneak Peeks!!

Hi Lovelies...

OK, it's Day 2 of the Stamping Bella Sneak Peeks!!  And I have lots to show you... starting with Uptown Girl Katrina's Christmas Kisses...  isn't she gorgeous???

I popped her in a glitter card frame with red card surround.... no fussy cutting on this one.

Next, it's Uptown Girl Wren and her Wreath..  with LOTS of fussy cutting - but I love doing that..  it's mindfulness at it's very best.

I diecut a loopy panel (Altenew Tangled Loops Die) to create a shaker card for her to be adhered to..  with lots of crystal sequins!

And lastly today, this is Mochi Ornament Girl... I do wish I could capture the glitter on the ornaments..  but you'll have to use your imagination!  I created a snowy night sky for behind her with Distress Inks, then popped her on a slimline card - which I created using my usual rectangle dies - elongated!

Check out the Stamping Bella Blog today to see more amazing cards and images.... it's soooo exciting, and I promise you, you'll want them all!!!
