Cosmo Flower Frame

Hi Lovelies..

A relatively simple card from me today.... I say simple, but it's taken me weeks to get it just how I wanted it!  One of those that you do a bit of, then don't like it, then do it again, then are unsure, then redesign.....   you know the type?

The die is from Simon Says Stamp - and it was a struggle to get to cut in my machines... that was the first problem with lots of diecuts ending in the bin! I ended up using thin card and layering the cuts together.

Then I decided to water-colour a background.  Suffice to say THAT went in the bin too!!  I decided to get back to my Distress Oxide blending for the background - I was happier with the result.

Card Info:
Dies - Simon Says Stamp Cosmo Flower Frame, MFT Inside and Out Stitched Square.
MFT Essential Sentiments - white embossed
Distress Oxides - Picked Raspberry, Fossilized Amber, Seedless Preserves, Dried Marigold
Gems

Hope you like my make today..  despite the lengthy time it took me, I was really happy with the result!

Curvy Girl with a Newborn - Pastels

Hi Lovelies...

For today's Bellarific Friday over at Stamping Bella, we have a Colour Inspiration theme...  and these are the colours we were to use..

Image may contain: dessert and food

I love pastels so I was in my element using these!

I decided to sponge through a stencil with these gorgeous Distress Oxide colours, then I diecut the word 'baby' - giving the word extra depth by adhering three layers together before replacing in the diecut spaces.  I then fussy cut the Curvy Girl image before using foam pads to adhere her to the card.

Stencil - MFT Basic Shapes Circle
Colouring - Copics
Skin - E000/00/11/04 R20

Smile......

Hi Lovelies...

Well, after a lovely few days away on the Isle of Wight, I'm back with my Bellarific Friday make.  We were to use one of the fabulous Florals collection, so I chose to use the Straight Up Florals for my card.

And  yes... it's  yellow!!  Like I've said before, it's a colour I tend to avoid at all costs...  but every now and again, I feel the need!

I stamped and cut a second flower and fussy cut - so that I could 3D the flower head with foam pads.

Card Info:
Dies - Stamping Bella Smile Word Die, Lawn Fawn Stitched Borders
Paper - MFT
Colouring - Copics
Yellows - Y15/17/18/39 YR24

Some things are just not meant to be....

Hi Lovelies...

For our Bellarific Friday make today, we are highlighting some of the fabulous stamps other than from the new release..  and this little guy/girl caught my eye from my stash...  who could resist??

I cut a little mask for the image, and a circle mask too, then did some Distress Oxide blending - so that when I peeled the masks off, I had a clean image to colour.  Such a cool technique!

Card Info:
Die - Lil'Inkers Stitched Square, Spellbinders Circle
Colouring - Copics
Piggy - R000/01/02 E31
Cone - E33/31
Ice Cream - E30
Grounding W3
Sequins and Gem

I really enjoyed creating this card, some are just like that, aren't they?  while others are good, but we don't get that same enjoyment.  Or is that just me??  Yes, I'm weird!  The image just reminds me of my lovely man cycling to get an ice cream years ago, then for some reason climbing back on his bike complete with the ice cream - which decided to part company with the cone!  Like it says - some things just aren't meant to be....

Don't forget to pop over the the Stamping Bella Blog to see what the other lovely Babes have been creating for further inspiration, and also to the Sistahood Facebook Page for all things Bella related..  it's a fun place to be!

Hi Lovelies..

I'm sharing a card today that I made using a fabulous Pretty Pink Posh Stamp and Die..  perfect for this time of year too...

I've got to admit, even though I love fussy cutting, this one would have taken me hours so I weakened and bought the die!

There are some gorgeous spring flowers in this image - including tulips and daffodils, and lots of greenery too..  I coloured it all first, then die cut and adhered to my card with foam pads - after stamping the greeting on the card in the centre.

Image, Sentiment and Die - Pretty Pink Posh Spring Wreath
Other Dies - MFT Border, MFT Stitched Rectangle
Paper - scrap from stash
Colouring - Copics

I do love how it turned out.... it looks clean and fresh and very spring-like.  Hope you like it too.
