Memory Box Christmas Scene

Hi Lovelies....

Last week, I received a lovely card from a crafty friend in Sweden - and I was inspired to try a similar design myself as I loved it so much!

I used a snowflakes embossing folder for my background.... then cut a circle which I blended with Distress Oxides.  I then diecut the little hillside scene (using a really old die!), cutting that also with the circle die so that it fit snugly onto the original circle.  I used a Posca pen to create the snow, then edged the circle with crystal Stickles glitter glue.  I added a holly sprig which I'd punched out (with a very old punch!) and coloured.  I then adhered the scene to my background, matting and layering to blue and finally my white card base.

Lastly, I created a little sentiment which I stamped with Versamark on some scrap Distress Oxide blended card - so that it matched the scene, and embossed it in white.  I backed it with some card I'd glittered with Stickles glitter glue.

Card Info:
Dies - Memory Box Country Landscape,  MFT Pierced Circle,
MFT Skinny Strips
Sentiment - Pretty Pink Posh Christmas Sentiments
Honey Bee Stamps Snowflake Embossing Folder
Distress Oxides Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon

Hope you like my make today.... thank you to Tina for the inspiration !

LOTV Santa and Friends

Hi Lovelies...

Today, for my card, I used this gorgeous digi image from LOTV - it's called Santa and Friends (for obvious reasons!)  I coloured up the image, then used a light Copic to draw some wallpaper behind them.  I diecut a frame from red glitter card, and added a couple more in white card to give the frame depth.  I created the background using an embossing folder, then lastly a red panel.

I added lots of glitter to Santa, and some Glossy Accents to the baubles on the tree.  Then a tiny sentiment - and it was finished!

Sweet November Stamps No Peeking Santa

Hi Lovelies...

As promised.... here is the No Peeking Santa from Sweet November.  I printed and coloured the image, then masked it so I was able to sponge Distress Oxide in the background.

I used a Sepia pencil to go around the image to give it depth and shadow.  Then I adhered the Santa panel behind a strip of dotty paper, with a tiny strip of glitter card.

Lastly, I stamped a sentiment from Mama Elephant Mixed Holiday Greetings - and it was done.

Sweet November No Peeking Elves

Hi Peeps..

For my card today, I used the fabulous No Peeking Elves digi stamp from Sweet November.  It's just so darn cute!  I was inspired by a card I saw by Amy - with the red background, so gave it a go.  I coloured the image, then masked it so that I could ink blend over it - and was pleased how it turned out.  I added a strip of paper down the side, and a sentiment over the ink blending.  Then I adhered the card panel to my card base.

Daisies

Hi Peeps...

I'm having a little change from Christmas cards - and doing some 'stash shopping' again!

I used a square piece of mixed media paper - and used Distress Oxides on a diagonal half of it, which I then splattered with gold watercolour paint.  Then I diecut the daisies, popping them onto the card as a border, with the yellow centres created using a tiny punch!  The leaves were from a different die set, but I think they were needed... and the sentiment is from a Pink Fresh Studio set - I stamped and embossed it in gold.

Card Info:
Dies - Britannia Dies Multi Flower Roses
Leaves - Spellbinders
Sentiment - Pink Fresh Studio - Playful Petals
Distress Oxides - Tumbled Glass, Broken China

It's been very cold here today - we had snow yesterday, so this card has made me feel a little brighter!

Hi Lovelies...

I'm back today with another card made using the Sweet November Little Christmas Angel..  this time I created a background using the Taylored Expressions Twinkle Twinkle background stamp (with lots of sparkle) over some blended Distress Oxides.

I coloured and fussy cut the image, then I then adhered the angel with 3D foam tape to the panel, and added a sentiment which I heat embossed in silver.  Finally I adhered the panel to my card base with fun foam, giving it depth.

Alexandra Renke Fir Trees with Frame

Hi Peeps...

For my card today, I've used one of the Alexandra Renke Fir Trees with Frame dies (that I used the other day) - but this time just one on it's own, in a very CAS card.

I die cut both the tree and frame from a card panel leaving an aperture, then cut the frame from gold mirri.  I added some glitter card behind the tree aperture, adhering the frame on top.  Lastly, I stamped a tiny sentiment and used a Stampin' Up punch to cut it.  I then used some gold thread to add it to my card.

Card Info:
Dies - Alexandra Renke Fir Trees with Frame, MFT Stitched Rectangle
Sentiment - Pretty Pink Posh Holiday Sentiment Set
Stampin' Up punch
Gold Mirri and Glitter Card

I've added this third close up - hopefully so the gold and glitter card show up more.  Hope you like what I did!

Alexandra Renke Christmas Firs

Hi Lovelies..

Today I have a card to share that I made with dies I bought a year or so back..  so again, I'm shopping my stash!

I saw a beautiful card on Pinterest which caught my eye, by Lynne Atkinson, so thought I'd give it a go.  I loved how she'd used pastel colours, so I dug out my coloured card.  Thank you for the inspiration Lynne.

I did all the die cutting of the trees, adhering them to a white card panel, then die cut the Christmas word from rose gold satin cardstock.  I then cut a couple of extra words in white, and adhered them together to create a bit of depth, before adding them to my card.  I added a few tiny dots that I'd cut from the rose gold - and it was done.

Card Info:
Dies - Alexandra Renke Fir Trees with Frame
Alexandra Renke Christmas Typo Word Die
Pastel Coloured Card
Rose Gold Satin Card

It was a bit fiddly to make - but worth the effort I think...  so that's another one down.... still loads to go!

Pretty Pink Posh Small Stitched Foliage

Hi Peeps...

I have another autumnal card to share today... again I shopped my stash and found this lovely little die set from Pretty Pink Posh called Small Stitched Foliage. It's one I've used before a few times and I love blending the colours of the leaves.

Firstly, I used a burlap embossing folder to create the background, then die cut the leaves from white cardstock.  I used Distress Oxides to blend the colours on the leaves, before adhering them with foam pads to the embossed panel and trimming the edges.  Lastly, I added an autumn word cut from glitter card, adhering 3 die cuts together to give strength to the word.

Card Info:
Dies - Pretty Pink Posh Small Stitched Foliage
Embossing Folder - Honey Bee Stamps Burlap
Distress Oxides Wild Honey, Gathered Twigs, Walnut Stain,
Rusted Hinge, Crackling Campfire, and Peeled Paint

Hope you like my card today... I do love the beautiful colours our leaves turn at this time of year before they drop... nature is amazing, isn't it?

Tiddlyinks Wryn in the Fall

Hi Lovelies...

Well as it's very much Autumn here in the UK, I decided to use some autumnal colours for my card today, and I chose to use this older, but still lovely digital image of Wryn from Tiddlyinks - I used to be on the Tiddlyinks DT, so I've had this for some years!

I used Distress Oxides for the background, splattered with water, white paint and then gold watercolour paint.  Don't ask me what the colours are, as I think I made this background last year and it's been sitting waiting for me to use it!

I coloured and fussy cut the image, then used my embossing tool to round the image slightly, before I used foam pads to adhere it to the panel.  I created a little pile of leaves with Copics for her to play in!  Lastly, I created a little sentiment on the PC - I know I must have one somewhere, but I can't find it - anyway, I was happy with how this one turned out.

Card Info:
Image - Tiddlyinks Wryn in the Fall Digital Image
Sentiment - done on PC
Distress Oxides (sorry can't remember the colours)
Gold and White Watercolour Paint
Colouring - Copics
Hat and Coat - E21/23/25
Skin - E000/00/11 R20
Hair - YR04/18 E08/18
Dress - RV42 R43/32/14

The leaves are certainly changing colour and falling rapidly around me, such beauty is everywhere!

Alcohol Ink Panel

Hi Peeps...

Today I'm sharing a card that I made with an off-cut of a panel I created with alcohol inks...  which has gold foil on it too for extra sparkle.  I used gold mirri card to frame the panel top and bottom, then adhered it to a die cut stitched square.  Lastly, I added a old sentiment from Paper Smooches.

There's not much more I can say about the card... it's pretty CAS!

Big hugs
