Attention Target Shoppers & Giveaway

Next time you're at Target check out the American Crafts Halloween goodies available for crafting and creating spook-tacular party decor! With some of the papers and stickers from the line, I created this yummy card and chocolate almond gift set.

Would you like to win some of this collection? I have the following three items up for grabs for commenting on this post. You have until Sunday, midnight, to leave your comment. One winner will receive all three items...a Halloween Party Hat kit, a set of Star Stickers, and a Happy Halloween banner kit.

Eek! These are fun, don't you think? Good luck in the drawing and hope you have a fabulous fall weekend! :)

Class Valentine's Cards

Are the kids ready for Valentine's Day at school? Did they pick out their packs of Valentine cards yet? If not, here's a super simple Valentine design you can whip up at home in a hurry. With some colored construction paper or scrapbook paper, cut into 2 1/2" by 6" rectangles. An 8 1/2" by 11" sheet makes four cards. Use a two inch scalloped punch to make the white part of the card. A circle punch, heart punch or scalloped scissors will also work. The foam hearts I used are a Target Dollar Spot item and I didn't even use half of them! They are self adhesive so they're easy for kids to use. You could use other types of stickers too. Then with a rubber stamp, add a Valentine sentiment. The sentiment can be hand written as well. I added my sentiment by running my card stock through the printer before I cut it. Use whatever you have on hand. Finally I added a button to each heart to give it a little more pizazz. Happy Valentine's Day!

A New Valentine Tradition

Start a new tradition this February with a Valentine mailbox. From February 1st through the 14th, set out a little mailbox each day and fill it with notes and goodies for your little ones. Imagine the excitement they will feel when they've got mail!

I made this mailbox with a plain red tin that I got from Target's Dollar Spot and decked it out with this gorgeous paper from Scenic Route. To further embellish it I tied this wide grosgrain bow around it and added some felt hearts to the flag and front door. Too fun! If interested, the mailbox photographed above is for sale in my Etsy shop at http://www.cardblanc.etsy.com/.
