"M" is for Macaw and mushroom...
Our Macaw Rico is a character, and a good talker, he's quite young and so will someday go to live with our grandchildren when we are gone. Macaws can live to be 80 to 100 years old.

For those unfamiliar, Folly Beach SC (near Charleston) is the location of the Morris Island light, it is now totally surrounded by water... there is a 'Save the Lighthouse' group trying to raise the funds to move the lighthouse to higher ground, but for now, it is still in the water.

Two of my favorite things, our Yellow Jeep, we've had so much fun in that car and met so many great people.... and our Jack Russell Terriers.. my favorite dog breed, they are such smart engaging, entertaining, loyal little dogs with BIG hearts... I currently own 5 Jack Russells..

This is supposed to be a very rocky river... I'm afraid I got bored with the 'little' rocks... and didn't do a very good job on them... I don't like my bank either... and the distant hill has a halo... and well I pretty much don't like this at all... and I must admit I wasn't fond of the teacher's painting either... so on to the next lesson.

Blogging friend Teri DC of http://painteddaisies.blogspot.com/ is making ATC cards with the alphabet on them... and that gave me the idea for my new Scrabble Journal, to do Alphabet days... I can picture in my mind some day, my grand-children using this book to teach their baby's their ABC's... and Morse code, and sign language, and nautical signal flags...

Maybe I was in the wrong place, because nobody else showed up to paint... so I took my photos, picked my spot...and again I like my sketch book drawing better than my 'painting'... I did stop after getting the big picture, the bugs were relentless, even with bug stuff on... I'll finish the painting later here at home.

New baby Alligator
The pond is overgrown now, and sporting 'Alligator Alert' signs... I suppose for this baby's Momma... because he's a tiny one compared to our Gator last year.
