Spring Break

For Spring Break we went with Ben's family to St. George. The first day while the weather was good we did some hiking in Zion. It was beautiful and so much fun. I want to go back. The kids loved riding the shuttle and exploring. Josh especially loved the camelback Jenny let him borrow. Leah did great in the Ergo and fell asleep on one of the hikes. Good times. Too bad the next day it poured and was freezing!

Josh thought he could catch the little fish in the stream with his bare hands. When I told him it wouldn't work, he reminded me how he did it at Lake Powell. At Lake Powell he caught a fish that was dead or nearly dead and carried it around in the tube with him...gross and funny. This kid has the best memory.

Easter

Happy Easter!

Weston being shy and looking so handsome in his new jeans. This is the first time all year he would wear jeans instead of basketball shorts or pants :)

Pretty Leah playing with the daffodils.

Josh and cousin Bodie finding all the eggs.

Spicy Weston

Since this is quickly becoming the Leah blog, I decided I needed to post about Wes. He is 3, do I really need to say more? Today he woke up at 5 am, yes AM and would not go back to sleep. I tried to get him to take a nap, but he is so stubborn and would not. Josh is sleeping and I while I was feeding and putting Leah down for a nap Weston was sitting on the toilet. For about 15 minutes. I went back into check on him after I got Leah down and he had pulled a nearly gone Old Spice deodorant out of the garbage and smeared it all over his legs and belly. All this while still sitting on the toilet. And now he smells like a little teenager.

Josh Turns 5

What?! Five already, how does that happen? Time sure seems to fly.

Josh is such a good big brother. He is a peacemaker and always includes everyone. He is very thoughtful of others and their feelings. He is a solution finder. Many of his sentences start, "I have an idea..." or "How about we try this...". Josh is very curious and if you take him to the store, mountains, pretty much anywhere it will take you 5x longer than normal. He HAS to stop and check out everything. And then he has to figure out why. He continues to love nature and animals. His favorite show is Wild Kratts and he learns lots of animal facts that he loves to share. Josh loves to climb and is always finding a way to make things more challenging (and scary for mom to watch). He continues to be our little fish. He loves to create and build things with legos. He also loves to play tackle football and smack the baseball over the fence. We love our Joshers. He is a joy in our family.

Josh loves to swim and so we had a cousin swimming party for his birthday.

Rolling Over

Leah is rolling over from her belly to her back. She gets all smiley about it. My babies try to get big too fast. Slow down Leah :)

Leah 3 months old

It is fun to see how your kids look alike or different. I have thought Leah reminds me of Cameron. When I pulled up pics of him at the same age I do see similarities. Love my kiddos.

Weston's Tonsillectomy

Weston had his tonsils out the week after Christmas. His tonsils are always huge and he has never been a good eater or sleeper so after a recommendation from the dentist and a go ahead from the ENT we did it. And man was it rough. I was not prepared for how hard it was going to be. He didn't have any complications or anything it is just a horrible recovery. He literally ate nothing for 7 days. I was syringing teaspoons of water down his throat while he screamed his head off. Miserable I tell you, miserable. It was a good 2-3 weeks before he was himself again. We thought he had apnea and he is doing better. He seems to be eating better and happier most of the time. But I will definitely think twice if we have another kid with huge tonsils. Poor guy.
