My Spud-Stud!

He's totally gonna love that title!

Rich competed in the "Spudman Triathalon" in Idaho this weekend. He swam for one mile down the Snake River, Biked 24 miles and ran a 10k!!

(Seriously, I don't know why he thinks this is so fun. But he seems to enjoy it!)

He did really well. He finished in 2 hrs and 45 min.!

We were at the finish line to cheer him on. His mom, sister and brother came up to support him, too.

I was so proud of him. He is already planning ways to improve his time next year. He even thinks he's going to get me to compete in it on a team!! Haha, yeah.... we'll see about that one!

Cheesin' it up, just for my sake! :)

Way to go, babe! Love you!!

Carter!

HE'S SEVEN!!!

My Carter turned 7 this weekend!! I can't believe seven years have already come and gone since he was born.

He is such a great kid. He is our peacekeeper. He is everyone's BIGGEST helper. He always makes sure that I am happy. He is tenderhearted and loving. He is a joy to have in our family. He is such a great big brother for Max and Ethan. I don't know what I would do without him. I just love him to pieces!!! I am such a lucky mom!!

His bike (he has riden his bike a few times to his Grandma's house and back which is about 18 miles round trip!)
His new skateboard

We spent Carter's birthday "camping" in Nanny and Papa's Motorhome in Idaho. We celebrated with cupcakes, creamies and presents. Carter loved it and we all had a great time.

Happy Birthday, Carter!! We ALL love you very much!!!

What a Weekend!!!

We had a great time this last weekend. I have a lot of fun stuff to post, so I'll break it up to try and keep monotony at bay.

First off...

On the 24th, Max's T-ball team were winners of a field of dreams contest with the Bee's Baseball team. They were selected to come down onto the field to meet the players and participate in the national anthem. They introduced all of the kids individually to the sold out audience. The cameraman put a close up of each of them on the Jumbo-tron video screen. They announced that our team as the "Undefeated T-ball Champion Mets", and assigned a postion to all of them.

Max was the first one introduced as "Number 12, Short-stop, Maxston Cannon." He gave a big smile and waved at the camera. It was too priceless. After the intros they all ran to different positions on the field.

Max got to stand on Home Plate with the Officials during the National Anthem. He also found a cute cheerleader that he kept flirting with and chasing around. (What am I going to do with this kid when he's a teenager?!)

After the anthem, they got to have a tour of the stadium. And they were all given batting helmets and baseball cards. It was so much fun!
We stayed for the game and then watched a great fireworks show afterwords. What a perfect 24th!!

(this is what Ethan spent most of the evening doing...)

Thanks again to Megan and Jeron for signing our kids up and being such a great coaching team!!

Grabbed this link from an email from a friend. It will tell you how many people in the U.S. have you same first and last name. Kind of fun! Thanks, Brit!

Healthy Breakfast!

You should always start the day out with a healthy breakfast!!

This is what Rich and I woke up to find Ethan doing this morning. It was around 6:50 a.m.

Yes, Folks, that's ice cream. He apparently no longer feels the need to let us know when he wakes up. He can take care of himself just fine!!!
Here, Mom, I'll share!!

Ranch Weekend

We spent our 4th of July weekend at our family ranch in Wyoming with three other families. There were 20 0f us all together, 13 of the 20 were under the age of 8! What a great time!
All of the kids got along with each other so well and had such a fun time together! Our families don't see each other nearly as often as we should these days. It was so great to get to spend time with each other and let all of the kids play and get to know each other.
Best Memories from this weekend: riding horses, 4-wheelin', sparklers, napping, playing fetch with the dogs, exploring, eating cobbler, late nights, playing and laughing.
What a perfect weekend! Thanks so much for coming with us everyone!! Let's do it again, soon!
