Preschool Pageant

Max got to play the part of Joseph in his preschool pageant this year. He did such an AWESOME job. He has so much personality and it was so fun to watch him up there on the stage. He's a natural (if I do say so myself)... he's also a bit of a ham.

It was so sweet to watch all of the little children retelling the story of our Savior's birth. The whole program was a joy to watch. I love that Max's teachers do this with the children. They are the best.

(Sorry, the pics are blurry. We were in the back and I had to zoom in to get any decent ones.)

Basketball Season!

Carter just finished up his 2nd year of Jr. Jazz Little Tykes basketball. He LOVED it! Basketball is his favorite sport, so far. He had a great season. He made lots of baskets and became a pro at defense (it helps that he was usually at least 6 inches taller than any of the kids he was gaurding)!
He also got to go to a real Utah Jazz game with his team and his dad. It was such a great season! Thanks Coach Wendt and Coach Ord! You were AWESOME!!
Great job, Carter! We love you!!

Christmas Time!!!

Last week we went to look at the lights on Temple Square for Family Home Evening. It was so nice! It was a mild 52 degrees! We wanted to take advantage of the warm weather while it was still around. Although, I do have to say that it was a little strange to be kicking leaves instead of crunching through snow as we walked around the temple grounds.
Max in the Visitor's Center checking out the Murals
Carter reading one of the Mural descriptions to his dad
Ethan was too good for the stroller. He wanted a better view, I guess.

Look-alike Meter

Ah, Sweet Redemption!
I have been told (and believed so myself) for the past 7+ years that my children look just like their dad. Well, thanks to this "look a like meter" that I found on a friends blog, that myth has been dispelled!!! Check it out, It's pretty fun!

I swear I'm not dead...

Where have I been? Guess I have just fallen off of the blogging bandwagon this last month. I assure you it has not been for lack of things to post about... quite the opposite, actually. We've been so busy and I've been so stinking tired! (Being pregnant and having a two year old who has decided that he can go without sleeping at night for one month straight tends to wear on you a bit...) Blogging has just been put on the back burner. Here are a few fun pics from our activites over the last month (or two)...

SOCCER SEASON:

Loved this photo that Max took

Max showing off his medal with his buddy Aiden.

Carter with some of his friends that were on his team (Spencer, Carson and Chris)

HALLOWEEN
Scariest Darth Vader on the block!
Posing for a pic at Grandma's house
Iron Man in his Preschool's Halloween Parade
We were treated to a hay ride around the neighborhood for trick-or-treating. So much fun. Thanks, Matt!
Pirate Ethan. Not to be confused with Shark Ethan, or Lion Ethan or Cowboy Ethan. We went through four costumes this year. He wasn't happy about ANY of them. Dressing up was just NOT his thing this year.

PUMPKIN PICKIN' & HAY MAZES
Running crazy through the maze.

Looking for the perfect pumpkin...

Happy Max
Say "Cheese!"

Ready to Run!
Proof that we were with our kids!
JR. JAZZ BASKETBALL
Now we're in the middle of basketball season. Carter is having a great time. He's learning a lot (including that his height is an advantage! :)

California, AGAIN!!

Here are some pics from our 3rd trip to the beach and Disneyland this year. Are we crazy? DEFINITELY!!

Disney was all decked out for Halloween. There were lots of fun decorations everywhere.

Max was super excited that he was FINALLY tall enough to ride "Indiana Jones". Carter's favorites (as usual) were "California Screamin'" and "Splash Mountain". Ethan loves anything in the park that resembles a train. Rich's favorite was that he got to go on ALL of the fun rides with Carter. Since I was prego this time, there was no arguing about which one of us got to go. It was always him. Bummer! My favorite thing was the lines... there were none!! I think the longest we waited was 1/2 hour once or twice. That made it so much more fun!

Nothing beats some good ol' beach time! Always the best part of any trip. It was a perfect 80 degrees. Lovely...

The boys played non-stop in the sand. Carter Boogie Boarded the day away.

It was such a great week! Thanks for letting us stay at the house Mom and Dad! We missed having you there with us.

Enjoying our Frozen Bananas and Balboa Bars. (A mandatory part of any trip to Balboa Island).

MAX IS FIVE!!!

Our Max turned 5 this weekend! He was so excited to FINALLY be five, however he was NOT excited that his birthday was on Sunday this year. He looked at me with very sad eyes and said, "Is my birthday going to be on Sunday EVERY year?!" -As if it were some torture worse than death. I explained to him that it would be on a different day every year. This made him feel a little better, but he still did NOT want to celebrate it on Sunday. So we are having family over tonight to celebrate with us.

Max is such a fun little kid. He says the funniest things and talks like he is five going on 18. I don't know where he comes up with the stuff he says. He has the best laugh in the whole world and he is extremely ticklish, but if you try to tickle him he will scream at the top of his lungs, "Stop, or you'll make me pee all over you!" He loves to learn and picks things up very quickly. I'm afraid he's going to know more than I do in a couple years!

He is ALL boy. He is always up for rough housing and being noisy. He is feisty and can whip out an awe inspiring temper in 2 seconds flat! He definitely keeps me on my toes. He is so much fun.

Some of Max's Favorites:

The color Green
Helping with Ethan ("because I'm practicing for the new baby," he says)
Mint Choc. Chip Ice Cream (because it's green)
The Ranch
Jumping on all of the neighborhood trampolines
Riding his bike
The Beach House
Sharing with his brothers (but only when it's his idea!)
Disneyland
Chicken Nuggets
Ravioli
His scooter
Going to Granny & Papa's or Grandma's
His friends
His new Heely's
Burritos
Speed Racer (the movie)
Pretending to be a super hero
Transformers
Ninja Turtles
Picking out his own clothing
NOT wearing ties or sweater vests to church
Playing outside
Climbing (anything, anytime)

We love you Max and we are sooo glad you are part of our family!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Baby #4

We had an ultrasound today. So, drum roll please..... we are having another BOY! Seriously, what are the chances? Well apparently we just do boys so well that Heavenly Father knew that we could handle a fourth! So here we go! Another clone for Rich! (It would be nice to have at least one that resembled me a little!!)
You know, I think that the hardest part about this whole thing is going to be trying to come up with ANOTHER boy name that Rich and I can agree on. Finding 3 was pushing it! So if any of you out there have some great name suggestions (that you wouldn't mind if I stole :)), PLEASE pass them along! We need some help!
