Hello again!
I am so excited to be back on DecoArt's Media Design Team this year. I absolutely LOVE DecoArt's Media Line; as well as ALL of their products. They make mixed media so much fun and you can rely on their quality and results.
Since it's winter and I am not a huge fan of winter, my heart is longing for the warmth of springtime with everything coming back to life. Outside my window, I hear my little feathered friends asking for food and longing for the cover of leaves back on the trees.
While strolling through a craft store the other day, I spied a very cute little wooden birdhouse. Only about 6" tall, but so full of potential, I knew I could transform it into something funky and fun. The little wooden propeller on the front was my inspiration to create something a little bit shabby chic but with a bit of edgy steampunk!
Don't think those two genres go together? Well, if you imagine it, then it can happen!
Here is a sneak peek at this little wooden birdhouse; packed with lots of detail and layers. My complete pictorial tutorial is live on DecoArt's Media Blog. Click HERE to check it out.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to leave a comment! I love hearing from you.
Remember to take some time out for yourself to create. It's good for the soul!
