Wow, I’ve been a slacker! Maybe we my problem has been that we have the DIY Network as a free preview channel right now and those are the kinds of shows I like…anyway, I’m going to try and finish the trip in this post so that I can move on to other things! I can’t promise anything though! I definitely took less pictures the last day, so that should help!
We started the day with Indiana Jones, only Carlos and I went on it. I used to love it, but I didn’t really love it this time. I’m not sure why I didn’t, but I do like MY Indian Jones!

Zach had fun playing with this toy snake while the other boys were in Tarzan’s Tree House. He didn’t really like it when I put it around his shoulders though!

Then we went on the Jungle Cruise which the boys loved. You would never know by looking at Austin’s face! Our guide was really fun, she had her script memorized pretty well and the puns just rolled off her tongue!

Jaiden wanted his picture in front of the ship that we had been on the day before.
It took a lot of talking and convincing to get them to go, but the boys seemed to like Pirates of the Caribbean. They’ve even added Jack Sparrow and other characters from the movies. It’s been a while since I’ve been.

It also took a lot of talking to get them to go in the Haunted Mansion. Jaiden really liked it, but Austin and Zach just barely tolerated it! This is Jaiden after we had been inside. He kept talking about what the ghost who was sitting with him looked like!

I think the New Orleans Square is such a fun area.

We headed over to the Castle to get a picture and everyone was SO happy about it! We didn’t know what was going on in the background until we were done, but as we were walking past, this guy had a ring out and was proposing to his girlfriend! It was so cute! And there was a whole group of people (probably with them) that was watching. It was really fun to see something like that!

We decided to go on the Matterhorn and we should have had Austin go with us because he was tall enough and then we wouldn’t have had to wait in this for about 50 minutes! I know, poor us, who got used to going to the front of the line! I think it would have scared Austin pretty bad though, so Grandma had fun with them while we went.

Before: After:

Then I, mom, wanted to see Tinkerbell. It didn’t look like the line was that long, but it really was. We waited and waited. But Grandma had just bought an awesome bubble gun and the boys had a blast!

I think someone got to play with it more than someone else!

They told us to go on in but then stopped us. They didn’t tell us why, but I could see in and see that Tinker Bell needed a break. When we did go in, she was so cute with the boys and I was snapping pictures, so I forgot to even get in the picture myself, and I was the one who wanted to see her! She was the only character who actually talked and the boys loved her!

We then wasted some time in the House of the Future/Big Sales Pitch building. Then we headed out to go to California Adventure. We looked the Mad Hatter shop again for a hat for Carlos and looked at a little museum place.
Leaving there, there was a music show starting. Jaiden was dancing in a fun way and caught the eye of some cast members so they brought him up to the front for a drumming competition with Donald Duck! I got a video, but had my 300 mm lens on and didn’t think that every little movement I made meant huge movement at the end of the lens. So the video is really jumpy!
The dancing that got him some attention.

I know it’s blurry, sorry, but this was when he came up to me afterwards. I think he was really excited but he said that the drum was really loud in his ear and he was a little nervous, hence the not always smiling face!
Here’s the crazy video if you can keep up with the jumpiness of it! And if you can’t hear what they’re saying, Jaiden won the contest and is the “World’s Best Drummer!”
Then we headed over to California Adventure where we caught the Aladdin Show, Genie was hilarious with up to date jokes about celebrities, etc. We were sitting pretty close and the kids really enjoyed it.

We saw the Muppets 3D Vision and then ate some hot dogs in the rain.
Mom then took Austin and Zach back to the hotel, by going the long way, for the rest of the day. Carlos, Jaiden and I went on the Soaring Over California ride again where Jaiden talked non-stop the entire time we were in line. He told us that this time he wore his flight suit! We had fast passes so didn’t have to wait too long. We then walked through Downtown Disney and stopped at the Lego store. Jaiden loved it! It’s so cool how they build things and they have every kind of Lego imaginable. Ignore my finger in the corner!

We then took the Monorail back into Disneyland, went on the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters again and then went back to the Indiana Jones area to get Carlos’ hat. It was the one he had decided he wanted but they didn’t have them anywhere else in the parks. We know.

By then it was raining and blowing pretty hard so we decided not to stay for Fantasmic and Fireworks, which may have been cancelled anyway! It was getting late so we just headed back to the hotel. We ordered pizza that took over two hours to come, but I guess Friday nights aren’t the best time to order in!
I’m going to have to finish the return trip in another post!
