Fun-filled Weekend

Sophie got to go on a daddy date with Stephen.  They went to the A&M vs. Vanderbilt football game.

It has been a couple of years since Sophie went to an A&M game.  She had a blast!

They went up with some friends who have season tickets.

The seats and the weather were outstanding!
And it always is more fun when the good guys win!

Gig em' Aggies!

Former and future TAMU students!

We also had trunk-or-treat fun this weekend.  Instead of going to our ward's festivities, however, we went to the Eldridge building this year so the kids could get together with some of their cousins.

And now starts the week-long candy consumption!

Races, Faces, and Tito in a Harness

Well, we were supposed to run the Ten for Texas (10 mile) race again last weekend in the Woodlands.  But Harrison got strep throat and Bella got a virus, so we had to cancel.  This weekend, Stephen ran the Brent Event 10K run (in memory of Brent Weaver and to raise money to fight cancer), but Emme has been sick and throwing up with a stomach virus, so I didn't go.  Everyone is on the mend, so hopefully we will be illness free for a while.  We are thinking of doing another full marathon sometime after the first of the year.  It has been over 8 years since we did our last full marathon.

Sophie had her first school dance a few weekends ago!  It was a Luau themed dance.  She had a lot of fun with her friends!

Growing up so fast!

Dang, we have celebrated Sonny's birthday like ten times this year!  Friends party.  Cousins party.  Family party.  Sheesh . . . LOL!

I got to meet up with Stephen for a rare midweek lunch.  The race packet pickup was at Luke's Locker across the street from this yummy Chinese restaurant.  Bummer that we didn't end up being able to run the race.   :(

Note to everyone with bunnies, they don't like going for walks in harnesses.  Don't believe the people at the pet store.  But Tito continues to be a really lovable pet.  The only complaint is that he goes thumper-crazy in his cage at random times in the middle of the night (rabbits are somewhat nocturnal) and it sounds like someone is banging on the back door!

We had Grandma Sarah, Aunt Erin, and the Nikos over for dinner a few Sundays back, and we got this sweet picture of Bella with Grandma S.

Cousin Sleepover

Harrison wanted all of his (non-adult aged) cousins to sleep over as a last hurrah for his birthday.  General Conference weekend provided a perfect opportunity for it.  The kids had a lot of fun playing games, eating junk food, and staying up until the wee hours of the morning!  After everyone left, we enjoyed Conference (and some of Harrison's birthday gifts) as a family in the morning and then headed over to Grandma Sarah's house in the afternoon.

 On an unrelated note...

I gave Harrison some skeleton pajamas for his birthday. This is his scary skeleton face.
