June 30

Elliott spent the day with his friend Daniel. They went to a free kids’ movie.

Our Neighborhood VBS crew

I enjoy the quiet nursery with these two cuties. They are such sweet, happy babies.

We took the Toyota to the car wash. Raymond and Julia vacuumed and cleaned the inside. It’s ready for Julia’s driver’s license test in two weeks.

We added one more neighbor to our VBS shuttle bus last night.

 VBS is wearing Braxton out.

The kids are having a ball. I am sitting in the quiet nursery rocking babies.

After church, Julia and I went to a crepe place for breakfast. Yum!

Last night was the first night of VBS. We took a couple of neighbors with us. Elliott is helping with preschool recreation this year.

Clay is at the lake with Elliott and Lucy and extended family from Georgia. I stayed home with Julia and Kat because both teens had to work.

After Julia got off work, we practiced parallel parking at the driver’s license testing site and then on streets with real cars.

After we picked Kat up from work, we headed to church to help Marsha with VBS prep for about an hour.

While Kat was working, we spent a few hours at Kentucky Kingdom.

Braxton volunteered to dance with the Globetrotters’ mascot.

Elliott was excited to see Zeus from the Globetrotters.

Both boys wanted their picture taken with X-Over

Bounce is 6’7” and has a 50 inch vertical.

Elliott and I helped out with some VBS prep yesterday morning. We unpacked and organized t-shirts, broke down boxes, and helped crinkle paper that is going to be used to decorate the church.

After dropping Kat off at work, we grabbed lunch. We ate inside Chick-Fil-A for the first time in 16 months. I am so glad to not have to eat in my van!!! The not-so-wee dude got a haircut after lunch.

June 24

Last night our church had a family fellowship at a putt putt place in town. We took Jack and Raymond with us. Clay and Kat stayed home. Both were tired from King’s Island and work.

June 23

Lucy and I met Mamaw, Abbie, Nikole, and Nora at Bernheim to let the kids explore the new play area.

Clay, Julia, Kat, and Elliott spent the day at King’s Island.

We also visited with Old Mamaw.

Lucy prepared a menu and then she cooked for us. We ate grilled cheese, apple slices, and a veggie tray.

We also made lemon scones and had a tea party with Clara.

I took these three bowling last night. Kat and her friend Michaela were also bowling about 10 lanes down from us, but I didn’t get their picture because they were pretending like we weren’t there. Sigh.

June 21

Clay started Father’s Day by finishing another home improvement project. He added a sail shade to the deck. Now I just have to convince him that we need lights hanging back there so we can hang out at night. We also need more chairs/furniture.

After dropping Kat off at work, we headed to an indoor bouldering gym for a couple of hours.

We had about an hour and a half to kill before Kat got off work, so we went to the water park to cool off. Clay got his season pass made by a cute employee.

We tried a new place for dinner that has been on Clay’s radar. They have a pinball machine room.

We came home, watched Wonder Years and Clay ate popcorn from the movie theatre. I think he had a good Father’s Day.
