December 29

Happy Birthday Nonna!!!

Today I haven't done much of anything. I mopped and did laundry. And that's about it. Nothing picture-worthy. Julia, Elliott, Lucy, and I are trying to get over colds. I think I am worn out from Christmas. We did one thing after another, which I love... but now this Mama needs a little rest.

No new posts until 2015.

December 28

Yesterday was a productive day. We got all the Christmas decorations put away, rearranged the Living Room, and Clay cleaned out the garage.

The kids enjoyed eating/dismantling our Gingerbread house.

December 27

Jason and his wife Megan came over yesterday morning for a visit while they are in town for Christmas. Clay and Jason have been friends for 25 years.

What do you do the day after Christmas when it is 55 degrees outside? Go to the zoo! Jonathan was with us too.

I want a baby meerkat for Christmas next year... and an armadillo.

He's a monkey, but he's no gorilla

We ran into some of our favorite friends at the zoo. Actually, we ran into 3 different families that we know. Small world!

Jonathan entertained himself by throwing paper wads into Elliott's hair. Elliott was oblivious.

December 26

HERE's a video I made of Christmas morning.

And here are some pictures of the rest of our day:

Elliott enjoyed his new Y-Fliker scooter.

Joe and Nikole are moving to Florida today. Joe found a good job that will utilize his college degree. It's 70 degrees there today. I am jealous.

 They will be missed.

Julia captured this gem on her new camera:

December 24

I think I love Christmas Eve even more than Christmas Day! It's kind of a magical day anticipating all that is going to come in the next 24 hours. We stay home and snuggle up to watch Christmas movies all morning in our pajamas. Tonight we will go to church and then go to Mamaw and Bapaw's for dinner.

December 23

Today was Elliott's turn to have some fun. He competed in the Mighty Titan Adventure run. It was great for him. It gave him a chance to practice his Ninja Warrior skills. These pictures are from the practice runs. Each child got to run the course individually and see who could run it fastest in their age division. Elliott ran it in 1 min 12 sec. Not the fastest in his age division, but Elliott ran his best and it was fun to watch.

My Wee Mighty Titan. That smile says it all.

We've also been playing catch-up on some of our ornaments for Truth in the Tinsel:

December 22

Jonathan is here today, which makes us all happy. He's such a good kid. My kids all play better together when he is here.

Rudolph? Sort of?

The library was having a gingerbread house contest. The kids mostly built (and then ate) theirs.

Jonathab asked if he could surprise the kids by buying them all a frosty. See? He's a good egg.

December 21

We had a busy day. Crazy busy. As in this Mama is about to go lay down at 9:30pm busy. After church, Clay, Julia, Kat, and I went to a gingerbread house class. Then we drove to the auto mechanic to pick up Clay's car, went to Papaw's house for his birthday/white elephant/Crazy Christmas party, and then we spontaneously stopped at a Christmas lazer light show on our way home.

Clay worked on this chimney as his main project - like our bathroom renovation project (it took 370 days, in case you need a reminder), he is true to Clay. This one little project took most of his time, but our gingerbread house had the most sturdy chimney out of the class!

We all enjoyed this class. Kat was in candy heaven! She was nibbling the entire hour and a half!

 Happy 89th Birthday Papaw G!
