A tiny chicken! So...the other night I had a meeting of a volunteer sporting organization. In this meeting, one of the fellow board members (who has said snarky things about girls in the past), said something about a player that was uncalled for. The discussion revolved around a certain player and how he wouldn't select her to a team because she was a"girly-girl" and "a pretty girl".
I'm sorry, but that really annoyed me. As a mother of a girl, who also plays this particular sport, I was appalled and offended that he would say this and that no one else at this meeting spoke up about it.
My response to him was that it was not appropriate for him to say that and as a parent to a girl, and all the others there also have girls (except him by the way), I was insulted that he would say that just because a girl was pretty, she couldn't play tough.
Really?
Maybe I should make him a tiny caveman from the
MochiMochi book of tiny mochimochi (which might I add I've become super-duper addicted to).
