Cherry Valentine

I love sending Valentines and this one is certainly being sent to a good friend!  I got this Tilda for Christmas and what fun she is to color!  I used the paper and embellishments by K and Co.  I love the bright fun colors.  The heart she's sitting on is from Michael's....they came in a package of 8 or so.  I thought it was a cute addition and the match was perfect.  The little gold heart is found in the bridal aisle at Hobby Lobby..they come in packages with a bunch of them...either silver or gold.  The heart border punch is by Martha.  I had fun making this..hope you enjoy looking!

HUGE Announcement!

These two sweet fishes are my first work as a Design Team member  for  Dog Gone Stamps.  I've long wanted to be on some DT's so I'm just about to burst with excitement!  This is a new company that's just starting and as you all know I'm just crazy about dogs so what a perfect fit!  I'm excited to be using their stamps to make some fun new cards!  Please check out their site!  It's just starting so they'll be adding new stamps often!
OH duh about the card...I used the stamp found here called "fish and worm".  I used the fish alone and stamped it on vellum with black staz on then turned it over and stamped it again!  I colored the images with Prismacolor pencils and blended with mineral spirits.  The bubbly water background is from a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The little blue baubles are from Stamping Bella.  The sentiment is a SU rub on. The hearts in between are by Doodlebug Design colored in with a red copic marker.  Think that covers it hehe.

Sunflower Tilda

I made this for a color challenge on the Magnolialicious Yahoo grp.  We had to use Regal Rose, Rose Red, Old Olive, and So Saffron colors from Stampin Up.  As usual I used watercolor pencils to paint the image.  I had some DP of Regal Rose and So Saffron.  The other two are just plain card stock.  I made the scallop ovals with Spellbinders.  Hope you enjoy her!  Have a wonderful day!

Valentine Tilda

I so hope you're not sick of my fascination with this line of stamps!  I made this for a COTM contest in my Card Cafe' yahoo group.  Those awesome ladies were kind enough to vote for it so it's posted as their home page art this entire month.  They're a great group!  I used the "kissin" technique on the big flower.  I am a pink freak so I just went crazy with this one hehe.  Hope you enjoy her!

Today's Stamp Club Project

My Stamp club met today to make this nifty little jar.  I can honestly say I came up with this design all on my own!  The set is from the new SU catalog "Just Buzzin By".  I used bubble wrap that is rubbed with the More Mustard Stamp pad to made the strip that goes around the jar.  I stamped the sentiment with black Staz On onto the gold organza (sorry, retired) ribbon.  I used some gold craft wire secured with tape to make the little bees fly up from the lid.  The jars were $2 at Hobby Lobby.  The girls suggested a beeswax candle to go inside... even a yellow candy would be cute.  Hope you like it!

Foxy

Hello everyone!

I am just in love with this line from Imaginisce. The little stamps run only $1.00. They have several coordinating papers too. I think the little fox is adorable and even found the bird yesterday! I haven't had a chance to play with the bird yet. I used watercolor pencils on the fox then cut the line between the body and tail to make the tail more distinctive. I put a pretty thick dimensional dot behind the little tail so it stands up from the card. The ears are just folded forward a little bit. I did learn a new trick when I was cutting this little fox out though...when you're done trimming it if you edge it with a sponge rubbed in brown (or black) it hides all of your little miniscule white pieces from where you trimmed it out. It makes your image look perfectly cut out! How bout that! My tip for the day hehe! Hope you like it!

Tilda Notepad for Pam

Hello Everyone!  I had to wait until Pam received her secret Valentine package before I could share this with all of you!  I nabbed a few of these little note pads (steno pad sized) at Target.  They are just nifty as there is a piece of elastic at the bottom for the pen to sit!  I love the pink/black/white color scheme...it's an easy one to work with.  The pen is easy to do too...it's all brown craft paper so I just used adhesive to put pretty designer paper on it then took a piece of the clear strong packaging tape and rolled it length wise to make it shiny!  I used a black stamp pad all around the cover edge to make it match as well.  The paper is from a new line I found at Michael's.  Sorry but I can't remember who is it by and it's all chopped up into nice squares now.  I used scraps of ribbon to tie at the top and the flowers are Prima (my FAV!).  I hope you enjoy looking at it! I know Pam loved it!

Tilda in Yellow

This little Tilda was a RAK I made for a sick little girl.  She's such a sweet pretty little thing.  I added coordinating ribbon to match the paper and then some mini buttons in the corners to jazz it up a bit.  She's painted with watercolor pencils.  Hope you like her.

Amy's Birthday Tilda

I hope you guys aren't sick of my obsession with this line of stamps!  I just have so much fun painting them and seeing what I end up with.  This card was for my son's sweet girlfriend Amy.  Her favorite color is teal.   I had the neat teal and purple paper and just went from there.  The flowers are prima with Bella Baubles for centers and the sentiment is a little rub on.  I did cut the balloons out and used wire for their strings so they are entirely separate. Thanks for looking!

Happy New Year!!!

Hello Everyone!  I hope 2009 is off to a wonderful start for all of you!  I apologize for not sharing my work of late.  I had computer issues and then couldn't find my photoediting software for my new pc!  I'm all situated now and promise to do better.  I'll share some of what I've been working on with you!
The notepad was a Christmas gift I made for my mom.  Tilda is from the Magnolia line.  I am still crazy about those stamps!  There is a pen at the bottom that I embossed with clear EP.  I apologize for the poor scan!  It's much cuter in real life

The cute little purple birthday girl was for my sister in law, Jennifer.  She is a K-state fan and I had found some KSU stickers to fix up her little Tilda just right.  I love the background "happy birthday song" paper.  I added more purple to this paper with pastels.
Finally for today...this Tilda was my contribution to my Magnolialicious group's December card rain.  I used the Party Tilda but twisted it up to be a new year party rather than birthday.  I love the sparkle on this card!  I stamped the sentiment on a strip of vellum and simply taped it to the back of the image.  Don't you just love her little shoes hehe.
Hope you enjoyed seeing some of what I've been up to!  Have a wonderful day!
