This isn't your typical blog, as you can tell. Instead of organizing our posts chronologically and posting regular additions as life happens, we have set out to log only posts that relate to the summitting goals and achievements of the Bybee Family, of which, it may be noted, some members bear a different last name, but at their core they are Bybees nonetheless.
Given the unique format of this blog, posts will be made according to which mountains we've climbed or plan to climb, with special emphasis on the highest points in the lower 48 states. Followers to this blog may to an imaginative degree sit back and join the Bybee's on any of their highpointing feats by clicking on their highpoint of interest, or they may, perhaps, choose to make it real, lace up their hiking boots and join us on our journey.
As a family closely knit together through Scouting, fishing trips with Grandpa or Sunday drives through the nearby hills, the outdoors has been an integral part of our growing up years, an ingredient that I feel has kept our family unified and strong for decades, and upon which I suspect we will all continue to build for our future families as well.
It is with this spirit, that we have endeavored to journal our highpointing achievements and ambitions, in order to set in concrete these precious memories as tangible treasures to look back on frequently as the need or longing arises and to serve as a monument of inspiration for our future and for our posterity.
Living the High Life,
The Bybee Highpointers
