Happy Veterans Day

   I am so thankful for all the veterans and the freedoms I enjoy due to them.  These are some pictures of my Grandpa Clark from the Korean war.

Happy Halloween

We had a wonderful Halloween.  We spent the weekend in Idaho with out friends the Chambers.  We went to a straw maze, the Haunts of Harriman, and just hung out.  Monday my kids got way more candy then they ever will eat.  We went trick or treating at Logan Nursing home where my grandpa is, hit most of our family, went to trunk or treat at our church, and then hit the carnival in Lewiston.  By the end of the Monday night we for sure had a fun filled Halloween.

Guess who is 2?

I can't believe my baby is two today.  It hardly seems possible.  As I was rocking her and singing her a song before bed tonight my mind wandered too two years ago.  I remember holding her in the hospital that first night after she was born.  Thinking how precious my little princess is.  She is still my little princess.  I wish sometimes I could slow down time to help me savor her preciousness even more.  Oh how I love her.

Sunday we hurry and took some pictures with Parson before he went back to Tennessee.  Aren't they three cute kids. I have been playing with my photoshop and trying to decide what I like best.  Let me know what you think.

Ashlyn loves jewelry

Ashlyn loves to wear jewelry so much.  Every day she has to wear some.  Just the other day she asks me, "where is my yellow necklace?"  I told her she doesn' t have a yellow necklace.  Her reply, "we will have to buy me one."

Happy Birthday Sarah

Today is my sister in law Sarah's Birthday.  My kids love Aunt Sarah so much.  She is the best aunt.  She always brings them presents.  She loves to spend time with them.  She always make a special effort to see them when she is here and often plans fun things to do with them.  They for sure know that she loves them.  She is also a great sister and sister in law.  She is always willing to help us out whenever we need here.  She is a great listener. We love you Sarah.  Happy Birthday

About Ashlyn

So today I was looking back at my blog I noticed that I had posted so many fun things that Jace has said.  It was amazing how many of them I had forgotten about.  I decided I needed to write some of the things Ashlyn  has said that make me laugh.  Ashlyn always amazes me and many others at how well she talks for her age.  She can tell you her name, her age, what town she lives in, her mom, dad and brothers name.  She knows what day her birthday .  She loves to go to nursery and I often find her singing around the house the songs she learns there.  She is always asking me why.  One day I was so sick of answering why so I said "because I am the mom."  her reply was "cause I the sister."  She is always thinking.  She is growing up to fast.  She wants to go to school so bad now that Jace is going.  I told her she can go to school when she is three.  She goes and gets her backpack brings it to me and tells me, "I am three I go to school now."  Just this sunday in sacrament meeting she was sitting quietly singing "X Y Z now I know my ABC's."  Then this afternoon she brings Daniel my old cellphone she uses as a toy and says " It not work.  Need Batteries.  You fix it"

Bountiful temple

Since we were in staying in Bountiful for the weekend I decided to take the kids and walk around the Bountiful temple on Sunday.  Unfortunately the gates were locked so we couldn't go on the temple grounds.  We had fun anyway walking around outside the gates, enjoying the sunshine, swinging from the fence, and I even got a few cute pictures.

Back to Preschool

Today Jace started back to preschool.  Both me and Jace were ready for him to go back.  He loves going to school both to learn and to play.

Husking Corn

We had our ward party tonight.  Daniel was helping cook the food so I took my kids and Ryker (Jace's friend) up to help husk the corn for the party.  I was thinking that they would husk maybe a dozen and then be off to play.  To my surprise all three of them helped husk all of the corn, over 200 ears.  I was so impressed.

Happy Birthday Hanna

`- Today my niece Hanna turns nine. She is such a cute girl and growing up so fast. I remember how much fun it was to become an aunt the day she was born . I have been lucky to know her so well and got to babysit her for so many years.

Missing My Birthday Card

Today is the first birthday that I can remember that I haven't gotten a birthday card in the mail from my Grandma Birch. I really miss her. I don't think that for most of my birthday cards I realized how special it was. She took the time to send a card with a little money to all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Never missing. Never late. I love you Grandma Birch and miss you.

Seven years

Today is our seventh anniversary. The last seven years have certainly flown by. It's amazing how so many things have changed since that day. Two kids. Five house changes. Two college graduations. One job change. A few pounds. Some wonderful vacations. Three grandmothers deaths. Lots of laughter and tears. No one else I would rather share it all with than Daniel.

Preschool Graduation

Jace had preschool graduation.  He has loved going to school this past year.  He has learned so many things and made some great friends.  It was fun to hear him sing some songs he had learned the past year.

What's better than rain?

Playing in the mud puddles. With all the rain we have had this year there are plenty of mud puddles to play in. Jace, Ashlyn, and Ryker (the neighbor) had a blast playing in them. Ashlyn was by far the wettest when it was done, due to the fact she fell down in the middle of a puddle once or twice.

Baby Animal Day

Stuck in the mud

On Tuesday Jace had Ryker the neighbor boy come play. They spent hours riding around on his four wheeler. Getting stuck in every mud hole and driving through puddles. By the time the four-wheeler battery died they were splattered in mud from head to toe. Then they went to dig in the dirt pile but first they had to take off their socks and shoes so they could feel the dirt in their toes. They then spent the next while digging for dinosaur bones and ditches to fill with water. By the time they were done I made them go straight in the basement to take off their dirty clothes before they could get in the tub to clean off. Then you would be amazed at the layer of dirt in the tub when they got out.

Nursery

So yesterday Ashlyn went to nursery. She is still a few weeks away from her official 18 months but I decided to give it a try. She did great. When I took her she looked at me a little anxious so I stayed and played for a few minutes then left. I stood outside the door to hear tears. There were none. I sat through relief society actually being able to listen to the lesson. Enjoyed Daniel teaching sunday school. Went and picked up Ashlyn and she hadn't even shed a tear. She was happily eating goldfish. What can be that bad about a place where you play, sing songs, and get treats. She even would get a smile on her face later that day as we told grandma she went to nursery. My baby is growing up.
