MY POOR COUCH!!!

So last night I let the kids go into our basement to play before bed.... Boy what a mistake that was! I called them up the stairs to get ready for bed and Hannah Fay told me that our foster daughter broke the couch.. I was shocked.. Our couch is a lazy boy reclining sofa that has been with us for 10 years. I walked down the stairs to find the leg rest portion of the couch perminately open. The level off the couch!  I could fix the lever.. but I could not shut the couch! I was shocked... I sent all the kids to bed and just sat angry.. Yes I know things happen but how could this! I went into the rooms and talked to Hannah.. she said she was jumping on the couch .. now to understand why this is a bad thing... our foster daughter weighs more than all of Hannah and half of Gavyn at 3! I went in to talk to Isaiah.. he said our FD was jumping and then she bent it while making holes in it.. I asked him if he was jumping also.. He said only off the couch.. I asked him did he break the couch. He said NO!  So now the question is... do I report this to the state dept. and make them pay to fix my poor couch? I don't know!

OH No.. TOOTHLESS

So our basement is finally finished for the most part....:) and Ted was working on a few finishing touches. Ted heard Toothless in the basement with him and didin't think much of it. A few minutes later Ted heard him eating something. Upon further investigation he found that toothless had gotten into the storage room under a shelf and found a box of mouse poison.. that we had open JUST IN CASE!!! Well needless to say Toothless got into the open box and ate some of it. We about died!  So Ted came up stairs and asked me what I thought and of course my fingers did the walking and found that on a dog his size he would be dead by morning if we didn't get him into the VET!!! So Ted jumped into the car took him to our amazing vet and an hour later and $100 dollars he is all better.. well except for the Vitamin K we have to give him every day for one month!!! Lesson learned is not to leave out anything that Toothless can get into!

Grandpa on Smokey
It seems like when it rains it pours.   Just 10 months ago we were saying goodbye to my mom Gayle. Now it is time to say goodbye to my grandfather Leo Lee. Grandpa was so important in all of our lives. He made it to all the important things.  For example, Ted and I have been blessed enough to be married for all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple. Our children, once they were officially ours were able to be sealed to us in the temple also. Grandpa did not miss a one. I missed alot of activities with Grandpa but I will always cherish the ones that I do have!  Grandpa lost his wife 9 years or so ago and married his second wife who is also my mom's aunt! It was with her that Grandpa did a lot of traveling and it was with her that he passed from this life.

Lava Hot Springs

Hannah swimming with her wings on!
Ted and I decided to head on over to Lava Hot Springs one cool winter day. The water was so fun and the kids had a great time getting wet and swimming. Isaiah and Hannah did a great job swimming with their water wings. However Gavyn is still not quite sure about letting go of daddy!

Isaiah had fun chasing his dad and grandpa!

My family!

Christmas

Christmas did come and go in our little town of Rigby. The children all loved to see Santa this year and had a great time with cousins from near and far! Here are a few pictures of the season...

New Addition...

Ted has had a dog for as long as he could remember. Just after Christmas a friend of the family stated that her girls wanted a puppy for long time. I saw the picture and decided to call and see if there was any puppies left... Needless to say, Ted woke up from sleeping and I had told him about the puppies. He got excited and off we went to see these 3 little puppies..

A few hours later Ted and the kids picked out the cutest little puppy that you have ever seen..

I would like to introduce you to Toothless.
(Yes the kids named him and yes he does have teeth!)

The kids all love him and are not afraid to pick up after him. I am not too allergic to him due to the combination of Shitzu and Cockapoo breeds found within him.
