An Old Dutch Birthday

If you've been around the blog long enough, you know June around the Busbee house means birthdays, birthdays and birthdays!

Kathryn enjoys smaller, more intimate parties, so we had her closest friends meet us at our favorite ice cream shop!

This was such a fun and simple party! I purchased pink and gold paper products, filled goblets with white hydrangeas topped with a pink pom pom to resemble a sundea, and made a few ice cream cone head bands!

Because the party was before lunch, chicken salad and pimento cheese sandwiches, fruit and cheese and crackers were also on the menu!

A few of our favorite guys were at the party too:)

A chocolate dobash cake from Pollmans topped with all of Kathryn's favorite animals!

This was the perfect way to celebrate our sweet girl turning 9! My, where have the year's gone!?!

Memorial Day Fun

We celebrated Memorial Day at Dauphin Island with cousins!

I'm going to attempt to play some major catch up in the effort to keep up ye olde blog! I'm about 6 months behind so bear with me:)

Can you even remember it? Six months ago, we traded uniforms and backpacks for goggles and pool towels--Swim Team here we come!

Kathryn is my little competitor, hence the nail biting and nervous hands;) But boy does she love it when she wins!

Walker isn't the biggest fan of swimming, but he can rock a backstroke!  Look at him go!

And this Little Miss competed for the first time!  She loved every minute of it!  Especially the team suit.  After all, it's all about the costume for this one:)

Tutu Cute

May brought the girl's ballet recital.  This was Kathryn's first year to dance!  I don't know what she loved more her teacher, her friends or this red, feathery costume;)

As you can tell, both of the girls were beautiful, and both performed so well!!

We followed their performance with dinner at Fuego!

Spring Break 2015

Once again, I'm blogging under the guise of "better late than never!"

Remember way back in April to a little holiday that just happens to be my favorite: E A S T E R !

We were blessed to spend the day with both sets of grandparents.  Church fellowship, family and yummy food are some of my favorite things!!

Several days into Spring Break, we headed to Destin!  Matt had a conference, so the kiddos and I hung out on the beach and at the pool for a couple of days.  Not a bad deal at all;)

Frances' most favorite toy/animal is Dougie. a black Labrador we bought at this exact Orvis when she was barely a year old!  My how time flies!!

Following the beach, we took a side trip to the loveliest little village on the plains!  Matt and I attended a swim team banquet, and Nana and Papa came into town to watch the kids.  It was a great way to end our week!  Makes me ready for some football;)

Disneyland, See Ya Real Soon

Our last full day in the park was spent riding all of the rides we hadn't been on yet! I'm happy to say we rode everything that wasn't closed for refurbishments! And of course, we rode some of our favorites one last time!!

Would you be surprised if I said we can't wait to go back!!! We love Disneyworld, but I think this trip will leave a very special place in each of our hearts for Disneyland!  It was truly magical!!
