Ready for dance class

Our neighbor asked if we would like to join Taylor (same age as Elliette) in a dance camp that includes ballet, tap, and tumbling. Yes, please! When we went to visit the studio and enroll she was so excited, I could hardly get her to leave! She was cracking the ladies up with her enthusiasm. 

We went to go and buy new outfits and shoes that evening. She cannot wait! 

Iowa 2016

I took the kids 2 weeks ago to Iowa and met my parents in Kansas City so they could help me with the travels since Dave couldn't go. They did awesome the first leg, even asking me to stop and scoot Will's car seat over so they could share an iPad!!! 

Kansas City dinner meetup. 

After spending the night and swimming in KC we headed the next day tonImaha so we could go to the Chikdren's Museum. The car was right but we made it. 

We had an absolute blast at the museum. The kids ran around and found a zillion things to do. The summer theme there was "Pirates and Mermaids" so there were lots of aquatic type activities. 

This was the doctor's office. Will made me laugh so hard after this machine "scanned" him and "found" a broken femur. He looked at me with worry and shock and said "I DO?!?"

A quick pizza dinner and ice cream to cool down be uses it was HOT! 

The kiddos did pretty well with hotel life.

Playground down the street:

Several of my cousins and their kids made it home for the weekend. Grandma had a pretty exciting game for us to play! 

We had to draw a described scene on the plates without looking. There were some scary results!!!

The 2nd cousins played with water balloons and slip and slides together and had a ball, although getting 9 small kids in bathing suits was a bit trying...

They did great lining up for pictures, though! 

We made it home in one day and it had its moments but we made it. 

So grateful for a safe trip, parents to help me, family I adore, and beautiful scenery!
