Steven & Sandy

EEE! My brother is getting MARRIED and I am SO excited! I have been waiting and praying for someone to walk into Steven's life who makes him beyond happy. Well ask and you shall receive. Sandy walked into his life a year ago and is the perfect girl for him. He grins with his whole face around her and laughs without reservation. I am so happy they have found each other! I went to KC a few weeks ago to do some engagement photos. It was 37 degrees and windy as heck but we made do.
We were hoping to get a few more but the weather had other plans. Maybe we can get a few more in the spring. I love these two and can't wait to see what adventures life takes them on!

Gingerbread Train

We did our first attempt at a Gingerbread sculpture this weekend- and I do say "attempt..." It was not the greatest finished project but we had fun!

I think the kids had more fun eating than decorating...

Dave commented that he now understands why there is an art to this...

Not sure this will be an annual tradition or not- but it was a fun new adventure!

Amazeum fun

Just a few pictures from the Amazeum visit we did this past Sunday. Elliette had fun in the log cabin making lunch for me, washing clothes in the wash basin and hanging them to dry, and picking apples.

She painted...

Both kids love playing with the Magnaform blocks.

Elsa's ice cattle:

I went Frank Ghery style:

Will went more regular:

I loved the bright colors of the "birds nest" to snap a photo of my sweet sassy pants!

Columbia Thanksgiving

We traveled to Missouri for Thanksgiving this year. When we pulled into town we went straight for a great Columbia treat- Shakespeare's Pizza! The kids remembered they they give out some pizza dough to kiddos to play with.

The next day the weather was stunning and we went hiking at Rock Bridge State Park. This is the Rock Bridge behind Will:

We found a few bats to look at!

After we walked around there we stopped by another park be jade it really was too beautiful to be inside!! (Yes, the kids are wearing hats and that was because of the monsoon wind- but the temperature was perfectly wonderful!)

Oh, Papa!!!

We celebrated Thanksgiving the following day and Steven and Sandy arrived to feast with us.

We were able to catch up with the Randolph family who were all back in town. Elliette and Esme:

Dave, Jeff, and Matt:

And of course we had some good quality hang out at home time, too.

It was a great holiday!!!
