Omaha- Zoo day

Our second day in Omaha took us on a mornkng walk and then to the zoo. The weather couldn't have been better.

That evening we went out to dinner and sat outdoors. While we were enjoying our Italian dinner a balloon artist came by and made a Spider-Man for Will and a rose for Elliette.

After dinner we walked for some ice cream and then spent a long time playing in a big field by our hotel.

Then, as we were walking back to our hotel there was a space with water and sculptures.

As Will was wailing around he was swinging his souvenir from the zoo; a stuffed shark. Well, as you. An imagine the shark flew right into the water. It was too far for me to reach with me hand or foot. But never fear- Daddy saved the day!

This is what a pretty perfect day in my books looks like. I love this little family so much.

Omaha

Our little summer getaway consisted of 2 days in Omaha on our way to Iowa (which I'll post about later). While the name of the town doesn't elicit a whole lot of excitement, it's really a great place and we found lots to do. The first day we went to the children's museum. What an awesome place! It was perfect for my kids ages and in fact Will and I closed it down (6 hours there!!!) Pretend play areas, climbers, a dinosaur exhibit, a train and a merry-go-round.

Cracking open geodes:

I highly recommend this place I you're traveling through Omaha! We got our money's worth for sure.
