Burris family Christmas

We were able to go to Dave's parents house on the evening of the 23rd and spend time with them as well as his grandmother for Christmas. We ate like we were starving and then dug in to just a few little presents :)

Will got a new race car and Elliette just couldn't figure it out. She was curious about it, but when she got too close she jumped!

With a surprise snowfall (albeit small) it was such a lovely day! We are so fortunate to have such loving grandparents right down the road from us and who spoil our kids tremendously. We love you!

Christmas Photo Shoots

Have I ever told you I love photography? And I'm sure you'll agree that I have the cutest two kids on Earth so the two go perfectly together. These are the photos I took about 2 weeks prior to Christmas that I used for Christmas cards:

I am always seeing some cute photo ideas on Pinterest so here are a few I tried:

I decided I wanted to do the whole Christmas pajama tradition and it only took two trips to Old Navy and one to Crazy 8 to find some that matched AND were the right size four days before Christmas! Worth the headache though- my babies were ADORABLE in the new pjs and Will loved them.

Laughing like Santa Claus:

I had two canvases printed of the kids on their first Christmases for our mantle. I thought I'd use them as holiday decorations. These are the two I chose:

OK... decorating IS on our priority list. Our house is feeling a little bare and we're aware of it. So forgive the terribly underdecorated Christmas mantle but here it is so you can see just how cute the canvases are:

I may have to have a few more made-- I LOVE all of these new ones! Merry Christmas from he Burris Abode!

Columbia Thanksgiving

This year we went to our hometown for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful few days. We played hard...

We relaxed with some *quality reading*

We shared some CoMo traditions with our kids...

And, of course, we feasted...

It was a perfect weekend with lots of love and laughter!
