Moving is the end of the World!
So Elliette likes to sleep. And Elliette likes to snuggle and be cozy. She does not like to be moved. If ever you do have to move her she makes this high pitched squeaky noise that sounds so pathetic! So, because I am enamored with everything she does I sometimes move her just to her her whine a little.

I put many pictures on Instagram. If you aren't aware, Instagram is a social network where you simply share photos. There are fun filters and you can "like" others images and comment on them. Way less drama :) Just pictures. Well, I sometimes forget that those are on there and that I need to share those via blog as well so here are some recents: Will playing with one of my favorite sets of toys- Widgets. I thank the Cornetts almost every time we dig these out (as they gifted them for his second birthday). These babies are amazing. Will is not super into doing art, but one night while I was doing a little craft project at the island Will climbed up and started drawing. Apparently he is quite the penguin artist because he drew one twice and I think they're amazing :) A sweet picture of him and Papa: Painting with Daddy in the driveway (hmm... maybe we do more art than I realize...) Fell asleep on Daddy while watching a late movie:The lighting of the square (it was cold but so fun to countdown from 10 with our community and watch all of the Christmas lights come on!) A very, very rare nap: I was treating every day at work as my last. I started leaving a new set of post-it notes every night in case my sub had to start at a moment's notice: I love love love these next two photos. Weekend mornings usually start with the three of us cuddled in bed and talking. Or tickling. I happened to have my phone sitting next to us and snapped these. Oh what sweet memories.
Since I spend 95% of my day looking at sweet Elliette I tend to take just a few pictures of her...

I'm not going to freak out over the latest Instagram hoopla-- the site is supposedly going to start selling your photographs. However, since most of my photos are of people- for which they would need a release- I am not going to quit using it. I love using it to take fun, quick photos of what's going on around here!

Newborn Fashion
As I type this at 7pm on a Thursday night Elliette and I are both in our jammies and have been all day. You want to make something of it? Good answer. We do get dressed, though and I wish it were warmer and we had more places to go because she is such a little cutie to dress up. Here are some of her fun little outfits!
First real outing- to the doctor's office. You cant see the jeggings very well but they're there and I LOVE them!
Dressed up to entertain some company:
Sometimes you just need to add a flower pin when you wear jammies!
A day of shopping and errands:
1st time at church:
Not the best picture of her, but the outfit to go to the neighborhood Christmas party is stinkin' adorable (I'll try to get a better picture before the holiday is over)
I took her up to my school for a staff Christmas lunch:
Oh how much fun she is! I hope she lets me dress her until she's 18!!!

A short walk
I had both kiddos by myself for a bit today and Will wanted to walk down to Bogle Park- or "Bo Bo Park" as he calls it! Bo Bo park is just a half block from our house and is such a beautifully manicured piece of property. The Bogles (Bentonville family) live across the street and always have different decorations in the park for each holiday. The Christmas decorations are up but we were there while the sun was up so no lights here. Anyhoo, it was kind of fun to have both I them out. Will made up a game throwing Batman as far as he could and then running and tumbling in the grass to retrieve him. Elliette... Well, Elliette looked as snug as a bug and was asleep the whole time!

Ducky and Reindeer
This is not Elliette's first bath, but it's the first one we have pictures of! As with everything else so far, she was perfectly well behaved. Not a single cry, fuss, or even grunt. Isn't she the cutest little ducky?
(ok, you can't see little ducky face on her hooded towel because I turned it inside out-- the outside is so much softer than the inside-- but the duck is there, darn it!)
Will has his holiday program at school on Thursday evening (we'll see if that goes any better than last year!)He brought home the sweetest little red-nosed reindeer invitation (made out of his footprint!)
Will Meets Elliette
First of all I just realized we had a point and shoot at the hospital as well so there are just a few photos from THAT camera I wanted to share (I'm sure you can narrate through those without me help).
We are getting asked a lot about Will and how he is doing with a new sister. We are happy to say that (at least for now) everything is great! Throughout the pregnancy he was excited about being a big brother and would ask if she was awake or asleep and want to kiss my belly all the time. He would also tell her "good morning" and "good night" most days without us prompting him. He was great about not climbing on me and if I needed him to pick something up because I couldn't bend over he was happy to help. Now, he is still pretty gentle about crawling into bed with us and saying good morning and night. He also want to see Elliette first thing when he gets home and hold her on his lap. He said to me one day "Mom, I want to hold my baby for a long time." Love! He is very excited to have his sister here and seems to be transitioning great. Here are some photos from their first meeting in the hospital. Will and Dave went to the nursery to get her and Will ran back into the room and shouted "my baby is coming!" These pictures are a little blurry but I think you can see the excitement on his face.
Happy Mommy!
I am so excited to watch these two grow up and interact together. There is nothing quite like a sibling and my heart could just burst at the sight of the two of them together!
