Thomas Live

I was super stoked when I heard Thomas and Friends Live was coming to the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville. Thomas is one of Will's favorite characters! When we arrived we found our seats and waited for the fun to begin.

I was hoping Will would be a good spectator- and he was GREAT! He sat on our laps and just stared and took in the first act. There was no real reaction from him at all for the first half. During the break we went and said "hi" to his friend Brett and bought a $15 light (that stopped working on the drive home I might add. Grr...)

The second half Will was much more comfortable and started shouting out when he saw his two favorite characters; Thomas and Percy!

After the show we walked around Dixon street and took some pictures on the train (that has been converted to a bank) and went for some frozen yogurt. It was a great night and we are so happy to have found something so fun and different to do as a family.

Despite the last picture (the only one we took of the 3 of us) we really did have a blast. Maybe Dubby was just having too much fun...?

William and Kate

What a BIG important day in history! Our generation has a queen and she was absolute perfection today. I LOVE that "Wills and Kate" have been in the news so much lately- I just love these two and happen to think they have especially cool names.

So in honor of the big event I thought I'd add just one more photo of an amazing pair of people- without further ado- here is Prince William and his best girl Kate :)

In honor of the wedding I wore my new Elton John tee from the concert that sweet Laura bought for me. Happy William and Kate day!

Easter

If you haven't watched your national news tonight you may have missed that Noah and his Arc are preparing to come through Northwest Arkansas very soon since we've had sooooo much rain in the last few days. Seriously. Roads are closed, school are letting out early, houses appear to be floating on water rather than sitting on a yard. It is madness. So the weather forced us to do our Easter egg hunt indoors. Will had an awesome time just the same and we were lucky enough to have all 4 grandparents visiting us.

The hunt took place in our living room.

We found these neat little things that you squeeze and the air forces the dart to fly. Will concentrated very hard until he understood them-and then he thought they were BIG fun!

It was the perfect morning with our families! I hope your Easter was just as wonderful (and a little drier!)

Sir Elton John

After a little computer mishap my mom ended up with some extra tickets to the Elton John concert in Springfield this past weekend. So I HAD to take one of the extra tickets- haha! I was STOKED to be going to this once in a lifetime event!

We had fantastic seats- right ahead of the stage so we didn't have to turn sideways like so much of the crowd did.

He played ALL of his major hits and I was way impressed with his crazy piano skills.

I thought this made for such a great picture- shown while singing "The Bitch is Back" :)

I took these of the big screen. I loved when they had the camera on Sir Elton's hands.

It was incredible to see such a legend perform. It was a great night with my family and Steven's new gal pal Laura. We all were in such awe! Thanks, dear fam for such a fabulous night.

April Means Baseball!

Back in the good ol' days you could find me many a days in April at Busch Stadium watching the Cardinals, enjoying a beer and a dog, and soaking up the atmosphere. Now a days watching a baseball isn't quite the same as it used to be. For one, our local baseball team is a league team for the Royals (spit! spat!) and I have to spend about 90% of the time watching my two year old and not the game. But, we went last Thursday night to support my friend Rachel's choir sing the national anthem and they were amazing! She does such a fantastic job with her kids. Usually little kids singing sounds like nails on a chalkboard to me, but somehow she can get them to sound like a little chorus of angels!

Will was pretty impressed with the helicopter that landed in the outfield carrying the person throwing out the first pitch.

However he was not too impressed with Striker, the mascot for the team. I agree that he isn't the cutest and cuddliest character in the world!

We were only in our seats about 4 minutes before Will lost his interest and off we went. Although, he must have absorbed a lot in those 4 minutes because he has really been enjoying hitting his t-ball in the backyard (I knew he was a fast learner!)

Maybe in 20 years I'll be back in St. Louis watching the cutest hitter in the whole world win the big game!
