BOY

Many Things by Andra Mccoy

Baby boys like many things,
Like frogs and bees and bugs with wings.
Trucks and trains and shiny cars
Dinosaurs and twinkling stars.

Dogs and turtles on his clothes,
And smudges of dirt upon his nose
Sweet stuffed bears and robot toys
These are things for baby boys!

What a joy it is to see
His boyish nature come to be.
He'll love to play with mom and dad
There's so much fun now to be had!

Allow me to translate a few words from the next clip: "Hi shog!" (hi frog) and "her nice"

Jump Zone

Our friend Collin is turning 4 and invited us to celebrate at Jump Zone. We had never been there before and OH MAN was it exciting. Just look at all of the fun toys that greeted us as we walked in!

It was just as much fun for Dave and I as it was Will.

I wish words could explain how big this Pirate Ship blow up slide really was. It was enormous and when you went down it felt as though your stomach was in your throat... and we all 3 loved it! It was a workout to get up it, but so worth the fun. Here is Dave and Will and Sarah & Faith.

Here are all of the kids posing pretty well around the birthday boy.

And here we see the behind the scenes of the photos- haha!

Oh- and our son was missing from those photos because he would not get off the pirate ship :) It was a ton of fun and we are so glad we were able to attend. Thanks, Collin!

Can't wait!

One of my best friends, Emily is having a baby girl in just a few more weeks! Since this is baby #2 she didn't really care to have a shower, but you can't hold anyone back from buying all of the adorable little girl things! So we met for a brunch last Saturday at Mimi's Cafe to celebrate Avery Elaine.

She got some amazingly adorable stuff.

And one of Em's friends made these amazingly adorable cupcakes.

And just how sweet is little Miss Audrie and Momma Rach?

It was so fun to get out of the house after all of the crazy weather and talk with a bunch of moms and enjoy a great meal.

We can't wait to have some baby snuggles next month!

Just a few more...

We had several snow days last week. Here are some photos I never got around to posting.

Look out!

Cool game, Daddy!

Thankfully this is not what our street looks like anymore. In fact, it was 70 degrees today and we went to the park after school with no jackets! Hopefully these are the last snow pictures you will see this winter.

Valentine's (play) Date

We offered to babysit for our friends Shannon and Brian last night so they could go out to celebrate their anniversary. Kayla Grace was such a JOY to have around. She is very calm... a big change from what we're used to :)

Will really warmed up to her quickly and was so good about sharing toys- even the coveted choo-choos!

We did a little art project (cell phone photo).

We all 3 really enjoyed having this sweet little lady around!

No big story here

I just have 3 quick pictures to share. The first is earlier today. Our temperature was 75 degrees, yet we still have some of our 20 inches of snow leftover. Dave was shoveling the front walk and Will was jumping up and down begging to go outside. So I let him put on his boots and take out his own shovel to "help."

Also, my parents came for a visit this weekend and we had so much fun. We didn't take ANY pictures until they were walking out the door- but it was a good one!

Not quite...

I hadn't done a photo shoot with Will in a few months so I did my best...

After that it was a lot commotion with him wanting to jump on the bed and run and jump in my arms so I had to finish the photo shoot when he was a little more subdued...

I have another day off on Friday so I'll see if I can't get a few more in tomorrow! (No promises)

Ha- Just kidding!

So I thought we got "The Big Snow" last week when we got 8"... unheard of in Northwest Arkansas! Yesterday the weather predictions were all over the board and there was NO agreement whatsoever on expected snowtotals between the various weather outlets. Well at 3 am this morning a "mesoband" of weather hit and we got around 20". Hello!

These first two are actually from snow storm #2 this past weekend, but the big beautiful flakes are too pretty not to share!

The next two pictures show the difference in the snow we've had. The first is last week's snow storm- a big one in it's own right...

...and this is today!

I feel like I can hear Old Man Winter laughing and saying "Ha! Take THAT, Arkansas!"

Dave wasn't quite convinced it was that bad this morning so he walked outside to see if he could make it to work.

I can practically hear his disappointment... he doesn't "get" the fun of snowdays!

We've been keeping busy with some art projects for both Will and Mommy.

I made the flower pens for my friend Emily's baby shower this weekend. They were fun to make.

We're supposed to hit -6 degrees tonight and 50 this weekend. I have to say I have my doubts, but in the meantime we're enjoyed being stuck together!
